'Arms' Nintendo Switch release date revealed in April 2017 Nintendo Direct

As Bloomberg reports, financial analysts for Citigroup, Inc. predict the company will launch a smaller version of its Nintendo Switch console in 2019. Roughly 460,000 copies of the Wii U version of the game were sold in March, and the Switch version sold an estimated 925,000 units. It should be noted that this level of attach rate has never been achieved by another console.

The Nintendo Switch was released on March 3, meaning it sold almost 1 million units in its first 29 days of availability.

The most popular game for the Switch, The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild, sold 925,000 copies in the USA - an attach rate of above 100%, which suggests that some consumers purchased more than two copies. That means that Nintendo sold more of this game for Nintendo Switch than it sold Nintendo Switch systems.

In a press release shared a few hours ago, Nintendo announced that NPD data confirmed that the Switch sold over 906K console units in the United States during last month.

Arkansas officials ask courts to clear path for executions
The inmates claim in their request Wednesday that such a compressed schedule "is contrary to the evolving standards of decency". McKesson Corp. says the state obtained the drug under false pretenses and that it wants nothing to do with executions.

Nintendo has enjoyed some early success with their new console called the Switch, with its sales being much more impressive than the ill-fated Wii U's launch sales were.

It out-sold every single prior Nintendo product in their first-month release, including the Wii, and the Gameboy Advance.

Breath of the Wild, which launched alongside the Switch on March 3, also set internal records at Nintendo. That is up from its original forecast of 5 million units- although it is still not particularly special, it does indicate that the Switch is performing better than anyone expected. This makes the Nintendo Switch the company's fastest-selling video game system of all time.

With record-breaking reviews and sales, don't expect enthusiasm for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to wane any time soon. NPD's data accounts only for USA sales, but the current global estimate puts March Switch totals at 2.4 million consoles sold.
