Augmented Reality Studio: Facebook is opening up its Augmented Reality platform for developers so that they can make maximum use of Facebook's computing power.

Facebook promises that their new AR platform will be "open", with Zuckerberg adding that the closed beta is available today, but "It's going to take a while for this develop". 'Pokemon GO, ' developed by Niantic and Nintendo, has generated a massive fan following as players can use AR to capture animated characters that appear in real-time locations.

For now the AR-focused Camera Effects platform is necessarily a smartphone-only affair, but promises to provide the basis for some of the interactions that will take place in the flawless "glasses form-factor" AR headset of the future.

"The unique thing that we're going to do is we're not just going to build basic cameras, we're going to build the first mainstream augmented reality platform".

"We look at [these basic applications] and we see something different". We hope that these new tools will soon be our new friends. AR studio is a tool that will enable the developers to create and develop what they want.

Jim Harbaugh Says America 'Must Celebrate' Kaepernick for Protest
He has four months remaining in his donation schedule, with donations now at $600,000 out of the $1 million he has pledged. He will not return to the 49ers after they signed veteran free agents Brian Hoyer and Matt Barkley.

This new camera makes use of augmented reality (AR) allowing you to add masks, frames, and objects to your pictures or while you record video (features Snapchat users will be familiar with).

"Today, we're introducing Facebook Spaces - a new VR app where you hang out with friends in a fun, interactive virtual environment as if you were in the same room". Users can choose a photo from their Facebook profile to create their customised VR identity in Spaces and then invite contacts to chat with them, watch 360 videos or create drawings.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a keynote speech that he no longer viewed glasses and spectacles - such as those created by Alphabet Inc., Microsoft Corp., and Snap Inc.

Facebook's F8 Developer Conference wraps Wednesday and the social media giant has being showing off a major push into augmented and virtual reality. Despite it not being real it still caused the users to blush and a man said he'd have to go home and tell his wife that he'd been holding hands with another woman. Some say the technologies are on the edge of taking off in a huge way - perhaps before the end of this decade.
