George HW Bush hospitalized for pneumonia in Houston

Bush, 92, the oldest living former US president, has been hospitalized several times in recent years for a variety of problems.

McGrath disclosed Tuesday that Bush was brought to Houston Methodist Hospital last Friday for treatment of a persistent cough.

Former U.S. President George H.W. Bush has been readmitted to a Houston hospital for treatment of a mild case of pneumonia, his second bout of that respiratory illness in three months, but "is going to be fine", his spokesman said on Tuesday. He said doctors diagnosed a mild case of pneumonia that has been treated and resolved.

In its statement, Bush's office noted that he "is in very good spirits and is being held for further observation while he regains his strength".

Mrs May has argued a fresh mandate would strengthen her hand in Brexit talks and provide certainty for the future. Demmer said Wednesday: "The German government assumes that the negotiations can be continued without disruption".

The former president spent two weeks in Methodist back in January with pneumonia. "President Bush is in very good spirits and is being held for further observation while he regains his strength".

"Bush was hospitalized in 2015 in ME after falling at his summer home and breaking a bone in his neck". The source said the Bushes had not previously announced the hospital visit because they did not want to worry anyone over the Easter weekend. He spent Christmas 2012 in intensive care for a bronchitis-related cough and other issues.

The former president has vascular parkinsonism, a symptom complex that shares similar ailments with Parkinson's Disease.

He will be celebrating his 93rd birthday on June 12.
