Nintendo Switch outsells PS4, Xbox One in U.S. in March

In a press release shared a few hours ago, Nintendo announced that NPD data confirmed that the Switch sold over 906K console units in the United States during last month. Interestingly, this also makes The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild the fastest-selling Nintendo launch game of all time, in addition to being the fastest selling game in the Zelda series. If that weren't impressive enough, the consolemaker added that more Switch consoles were sold during its first month of availability than any other game system in Nintendo's history. Previous pack-in games like Super Mario World on the SNES, Tetris on the Game Boy, and Wii Sports on the Wii by definition only sold to 100 percent of console owners during those systems' crucial launch periods.

A lot of that success can be attributed to "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" game, which the company claims to have sold over 1.3 million units. With its 'Global Testfire' event conducted in March, it appears that Nintendo is finally ready to release the title to almost two million Switch owners.

Rays' Odorizzi injured, makes early exit vs. Red Sox
That allowed Mitch Moreland - who opened the inning with his third hit of game, a single off loser Tommy Hunter (0-1) - to score. - Steven Wright finally got back on track, settling down after a tumultuous first inning to notch his first win of the season.

The "Switch Mini" would be created to appeal to children specifically, with the analysts pointing out the existing console's size and weight not being entirely suitable for youngsters. That's buoyed investors who think the Switch is on track to become a bigger hit than the Wii, the company's best-selling home console of all-time.

It is no secret that Payday 2 has pretty much been abandon in the other consoles and since the game has so many bugs that have not been fixed yet, why would they want to port to the Nintendo Switch. The console has been on the market for only a month but it is already looking to break the million units point. Considering there have only been 906,000 Switches sold, that meant some bought more than one, probably the limited edition and a regular copy. The company acknowledged that "shipments have not yet been able to keep up with such high demand", and said that more systems are "continually being shipped". They include Mario World, Mario Kart, ARMS, Minecraft, and Splatoon 2.
