Pa. cops hit Cleveland Facebook killer's fleeing auto to stop him

Suspected Facebook killer Steve Stephens shoots himself after being spotted by police

Acting on the tip, police arrived at the Erie McDonald's and spotted Stephens leaving the fast-food restaurant.

Steve Stephens, the man wanted for killing a 74-year-old man and uploading the video to Facebook Easter Sunday, has been found dead inside a vehicle in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Williams said Pennsylvania state police received a tip shortly after 11 a.m. (1500GMT) that the vehicle Stephens was using had been found at a McDonald's parking lot near Erie County. When state police pulled up, Stephens took off.

"This started with one tragedy and ended with another person ending their life", Chief Williams said at a press conference, notes The Daily Mail. "We would like to have brought Steven peacefully and really talk to him to find out why this happened".

The company will do all it can to prevent content like Stephens' post, Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg told Facebook's annual conference for software developers on Tuesday in San Jose. She said even after they parted she was still trying to get him to reach out for help with a gambling habit.

The McDonald's employees tried to "buy some time for the cops" by telling Stephens his fries were delayed, but he said he had no time to wait and drove off, according to DuCharme.

The Democrat Went Down in Georgia
Trump was heavily invested in the race and in a tweet claimed victory, although Ossoff could still win in the runoff. Having already endured several million in attacks from national Republican outfits, Ossoff said he's ready for more.

The head of the U.S. Marshal's office in Cleveland says he's confident Stephens will be found. "And she said, 'Your father is dead'".

Stephens' vehicle sustained minor damage after a trooper couldn't stop in time and hit the auto, but no injuries to law enforcement were reported. The company says it disabled Stephen's account within 23 minutes of receiving the first report about the video of the fatal shooting and two hours after receiving any report.

In a video Stephens later streamed on Facebook Live, he said he "snapped" and killed 13 people, saying "I've got a lot of built-in anger and frustration".

Mr Godwin did not seem to recognise the name. Though he claimed in his Facebook post to have killed more than a dozen people, there appears to be no evidence that he shot anyone besides Godwin.

Authorities are offering a $50,000 reward for information that will lead to Stephen's arrest.
