Samsung Galaxy Book Will Be Available April 21

Samsung also disclosed the pricing for the three consumer variants of the Galaxy Book, along with the details of the model targeted at corporate sectors.

In case it wasn't already clear, there will be no LTE option for the 10.6-inch model, so if LTE connectivity is an absolute must for you, then you'll have to pony up for the 12-inch model from Verizon which admittedly doesn't come cheap. Add LTE to that larger model and the price jumps to $1,299.99.

Samsung revealed that the 10.6-inch and 12-inch Wi-Fi only models start at $629.99 and $1,129.99, respectively. General availability starts a month later on May 21st. The standard model only comes in silver, but Best Buy is exclusively offering a black version in addition to the silver.

Samsung Galaxy Book, which was announced during MWC 2017, will be now up for pre-order starting April 21st in the United States. However, it also houses Windows 10 Pro and Samsung's enterprise services and support. It does not have LTE support and will cost you $1,429. This variant will start shipping on May 23 and preorders will go live on April 21.

The Galaxy Book line is entering a market now held by Microsoft's Surface line. Both lines focus on productivity and portability with each offering the option to be used as a laptop or tablet.

It will come bundled with an S Pen stylus as well as a keyboard cover that lets you prop up the tablet and use it nearly like a laptop. In terms of battery life, the device features quick charging and promises up to 10 hours of life.

Samsung's Galaxy S7 was once the beacon of what a smartphone could be and should be, and although the new model of the Galaxy S series flagship is just a few days away from its official launch, last year's flagship can still end up costing quite a bit.
