'Better Than Anticipated': Trump on Results of Tillerson's Visit to Russian Federation

CORRECTS DATE- US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson left and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov walk prior to their talks in Moscow Russia Wednesday

His remarks were made during a joint press conference with Italian President Sergio Mattarella in Moscow. ECONOMIC ISSUES Trump says his administration will not label China a currency manipulator, backing away from a campaign promise, even as he says the dollar is "getting too strong" and eventually will hurt the US economy. The US and European nations have increased pressure on Putin to sever ties with Assad, so far to no avail. POSSIBLE CONFLICTS A Democratic senator is pressing Deutsche Bank to release information about issues including Trump's debt and any bank meetings with Trump administration officials, saying he had "great concern" about possible conflicts of interest.

Russian Federation has criticized previous investigations carried out by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and the United Nations which blamed the Syrian government for at least three chemical weapons attacks.

"In general, primitiveness and loutishness are very characteristic of the current rhetoric coming out of Washington", Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told Russia's state-owned RIA news agency. He also said Putin had agreed to reactivate a U.S. "The world's two foremost nuclear powers can not have this kind of relationship".

Trump praised Tillerson for doing "terrific job" in Moscow, and in particular an excellent job in promoting the interests of the United States and its allies.

In another possible setback to a thaw with Moscow, Trump said on Wednesday that North Atlantic Treaty Organisation is not obsolete, as he had declared during the election campaign a year ago. "I think it's probably unlikely", Trump said at a White House news conference with North Atlantic Treaty Organisation secretary general Jens Stoltenberg after he was asked whether he thought Assad could launch the attack without his Russian ally's knowledge.

Europa League, Man Utd-Anderlecht
At a club like United, when you start the Europa League, you don't have the motivation high, but that's September. After enduring some struggles this season, the 19-year-old is now well and truly generating excitement again.

Trump said US relations with Russian Federation were not going well. I have absolutely no doubt we did the right thing. We may be at an all-time low in terms of a relationship with Russian Federation. This has built for a long period of time. Tillerson is considering the request, he said, "and we expect that Washington will have a constructive reaction".

"Are we insisting on it? No".

"I would like to think that they didn't know".

The Wall Street Journal cited Trump as saying that Assad's use of chemical weapons again would elicit another military response, but he also said he would not intervene in depth in the conflict. SPICER White House spokesman Sean Spicer says he had let Trump down with his "inexcusable and reprehensible" comments comparing the use of poison gas by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to the atrocities of Adolf Hitler.

Trump responded to the gas attack by firing 59 cruise missiles at a Syrian air base on Friday.
