David Letterman Calls Ticketmaster 'Bloodthirsty Weasels'

It was talk show veteran David Letterman who inducted the group on Friday night (April 7th 2017), with Neil Young being forced to back out due to an unspecified illness.

Pearl Jam and Tupac Shakur were also set to be inducted in their first year of eligibility, 25 years after the release of their debut albums in 1991.

Pearl Jam, the Electric Light Orchestra, Journey, Yes, and the late Tupac Shakur were also among the inductees.

A statement about Letterman's appearance at the ceremony, which is being held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, was posted on the hall's Facebook page.

Paris gunman was French national, says Belgian interior minister
Archive reports by French newspaper Le Parisien say that Cheurfi was convicted of attacking a police officer in 2001. Police raided the man's home in a Paris suburb after the violence on the bustling, world-famous boulevard.

His wife, Jill, was teary-eyed in the audience at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn as fans continued to cheer.

According to WKYC in Cleveland, Ohio, Snoop credited 2Pac with being the person responsible for getting the Dogg to smoke blunts when he was growing up. "You let me know".

"Every time they were there, they would blow the roof off the place", Letterman said. Letterman also cracked jokes about all of the former Pearl Jam drummers in attendance and referenced PJ's feud with the "beady-eyed, bloodthirsty weasels" at Ticketmaster before concluding by reading a letter that Eddie Vedder wrote to his son.

In closing out the night's speeches, Vedder began talking about the reality of climate change and ended up addressing the unwavering support of their fans. Like so many of today's entertainers, they were ironic at times, socially aware at others, but always very, very human, unafraid to show their flaws because the big hearts underneath made up for it, and resonated with so many of us. He was onboard for the band's performance during the induction ceremony and belted out "Separate Ways" and "Don't Stop Believing". While Perry didn't participate in the performance, former Journey members Gregg Rolie and Aynsley Dunbar joined the group to perform the 1978 hit "Lights".
