Father of missing teen says she was brainwashed

Acting U.S. Attorney Jack Smith announced the charge for Tad Cummins at a news conference on Thursday, just hours after authorities say the girl was found safe in a very remote area in northern California.

The Tennessee teacher accused of kidnapping a 15-year-old student has been arrested and the teen has been found safe, authorities tweeted Thursday.

Siskiyou County deputies searched the area and found a silver Nissan Rogue parked outside the cabin, TBI spokesman Josh DeVine said.

The White House said the program is now undercutting American workers by bringing in cheaper labor and said some tech companies are using it to hire large numbers of workers and drive down wages.

Authorities found the cabin they were believed to be staying in, but decided not to take action at night and instead wait until Cummins left in the morning.

The teacher would later be reprimanded February 3 by school principal Penny Love after the girl was seen in Cummins' classroom for a little more than half an hour that day.

Turkey arrests dozens in anti-referendum protests
Turkey's main opposition party has filed a formal request seeking the referendum to be annulled because of voting irregularities. President Recep Erdogan revealed that he and U.S President talked about the Syria's condition after the chemical gas attack.

The sheriff's office said both were cooperative and thanked the officers for their professionalism.

Officials at SeaWorld say the last killer whale has been born in captivity at one of its parks _ in San Antonio. The girl was apparently healthy and unharmed, but authorities said their main concern was her emotional and mental state. "He needs to be held accountable for kidnapping this girl", Gwyn said. TBI contacted the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office and learned they had received the same tip from the same person. Thomas will fly back on TBI aircraft sometime Friday.

The two vanished from Columbia, Tennessee, on March 13. An Amber Alert had been issued for Thomas.

Two days after the girl disappeared, surveillance images from a Walmart in Oklahoma City showed Cummins and the girl purchasing food items in the store with cash. He added that when Thomas wanted to share something she would whisper stuff in Cummins ear and then Cummins would repeat it. Cummins told his wife he was going to a job interview at a medical center in Williamson County.

Cummins also faces one count of sexual contact with a minor from an incident that allegedly happened earlier this year. The charge carries a minimum sentence of 10 years in prison.

According to the criminal complaint, Cummins' wife found a note on March 13 saying he was traveling to Virginia Beach to clear his head. He said he would return and told his wife not to call police. Further investigation of that tip also led authorities to learn Thomas and Cummins visited another Wal-Mart store March 16, purchasing women's razors, chocolate, cheese cubes and KY Jelly, the report states.
