Murder Victim's Father Takes No Joy In Aaron Hernandez's Death
Hernandez's death is now being investigated by the MA state medical examiner's office and is being overseen by the Worcester District Attorney and the Department of Corrections, the Boston Globe reported.
This is where things could conceivably get complicated for the National Football League, the Patriots, and Hernandez's family.
"Mr. Hernandez hanged himself utilizing a bed sheet that he attached to his cell window", the state corrections commission said in a statement. "Aaron was looking forward to an opportunity for a second chance to prove his innocence".
"It is quite possible that for Aaron Hernandez to be on the news on the same day that the Patriots are in the news, that's symbolic", said Ruskin. Guards found Hernandez just after 3 a.m., Correction Department spokesman Christopher Fallon said.
A legal rule called "abatement ab initio", which means "from the beginning" in Latin, could make Hernandez an innocent man, Martin W. Healy, chief legal counsel to the Massachusetts Bar Association told The Boston Globe.

Authorities offered few answers after Hernandez was found hanging from a bedsheet Wednesday in his cell in a maximum-security prison in MA, where he was serving a life sentence for the 2013 slaying of a onetime friend. In May 2015, Hernandez agreed to be a lookout for an inmate who fought another inmate at the prison where he died.
Lloyd was shot six times and died in an industrial park less than a mile from Hernandez's home. He issued a statement Wednesday saying that Hernandez's family and legal team are "shocked and surprised" at the news of his death. His death came less than a week after he was acquitted of murder charges in the shooting deaths of two men in Boston in 2012. That year he got engaged to his girlfriend, Shayanna Jenkins, who was pregnant with their first child, a baby girl they named Avielle.
In the Dorchester neighborhood where Lloyd grew up, a family friend of the victim wondered if Hernandez could no longer bear the weight of his crime and his squandered potential.
Hernandez's young daughter made a rare one-time appearance in the courtroom last week during his double murder trial for killings in 2012. "From everyone I had talked to who was close to him, they said he remained positive when he was in prison", Steele said. "His agent actually texted me and said he would never kill himself".
