O'Reilly's ratings rise as advertisers flee

According to CNN, Fox News' parent company, 21st Century Fox, is going to investigate allegations that its No. 1 host, Bill O'Reilly, has a longstanding habit of making sexually inappropriate overtures to women in the workplace.

"On Friday, we received a call from a couple of attorneys who represent Fox News and they said that they are, indeed, going to do an investigation based on Wendy's complaint", she said. She said on the tip line that that she and O'Reilly discussed her future in television at dinner in a hotel restaurant, and that after she rejected his suggestion that they go to his hotel suite, he became hostile, saying, "Forget about any career advice I gave you". But for now, the network said Thursday that companies pulling ads from The O'Reilly Factor would have their dollars allocated to other Fox shows.

The interview ends with Baldwin's O'Reilly thanking Trump for his support "on behalf of all women" and for promoting "Sexual Assault Awareness month". O'Reilly's flagship program The O'Reilly Factor has reportedly seen its national advertisers shrink from 60 down to 10.

Bloom said O'Reilly had told Walsh he would recommend her for a paid contributor role on the network. Paul Weiss is the same firm that investigated former Fox News chairman Roger Ailes, who was ousted from the company over harassment allegations.

O'Reilly is Fox's top revenue producer, generating about $446 million in ad sales from 2014 through 2016, according to the New York Times report.

'The sword stands ready': Mike Pence warns North Korea
Abe said he supported Trump's stance that strategic patience with North Korea had run out, and that all options were on the table. Speaking through interpreters, the two leaders had discussed the North Korean nuclear crisis for more than two hours.

Walsh never pursued litigation as part of her settlement terms, but she did hire Bloom, who recorded her phone call to 21st Century Fox and uploaded the footage to Youtube. He said that no one had ever filed a complaint about him with human resources "even on the anonymous hotline".

The bit opened with Baldwin's O'Reilly asking an apprehensive reporter (Cecily Strong) how Susan Rice, national security adviser to former President Barack Obama, responded to allegations of misconduct.

Bloom has aid that she's been "flooded with calls" from other women seeking representation in the matter, too, indicating that many more stories may come out as the investigation winds forward.

Advertisers who chose to abandon O'Reilly include Mercedes, H&R Block, Constant Contact, and Allstate Insurance.
