Reading the Kansas 4 and Georgia 6 Tea Leaves

President Donald Trump slammed "failing" Democrats for falling short of securing a congressional seat in the most high-profile special election yet of Trump's presidency.

In a message on his Twitter account Wednesday, the president said the June runoff election triggered by Tuesday's vote represented a battle between Ossoff and his celebrity backers, and Republican Karen Handel's local support.

Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff fell about two percentage points shy of hitting the 50 percent threshold he needed to take the special election for Georgia's 6th Congressional District on Tuesday outright.

In a major triumph for the Democratic Party, Jon Ossoff finished tonight at the top of a field of eleven Republican and four additional Democratic candidates. On Tuesday, however, voters in the affluent Atlanta suburbs turned out for a special election to hand a 30-year-old Democrat a whopping 30-point lead over his closest competitor.

Outside groups poured millions into the nationally-watched contest, which was widely viewed as an early indicator of Trump's popularity as he closed out his first 100 days in office.

The outcomes in Kansas and Georgia also serve notice that GOP candidates may struggle to handle Trump, who engenders an intense loyalty among his core supporters but alienates many independents and even Republicans. "Glad to be of help!" he tweeted.

Winning such a seat will depend on Ossoff keeping voters like Shari Sprigle engaged in the race.

Armed with a PDO device, a kirana shop or a thelawallah can sell Wi-Fi data vouchers at denominations as low as Rs 10. Further speaking to the Economic Times , "The concept of Digital India is not prevalent in every nook and corner".

The Georgia congressional seat is attracting so much attention also because it has been the Republicans' since the late 1970s - and a candidate as strong as Ossoff is definitely a threat to them.

However, while they did make impressive strides in traditionally Republican districts, they have yet to prove they can win federal elections in the era of Trump.

Democrats are calling this a HUUGE win in the heavily GOP dominated district.

"They ran to win last night and they lost", White House spokesman Sean Spicer told reporters.

While Ossoff got support from his party's chairman, Handel gathered her own big name support, picking up an endorsement from Gov. Nathan Deal.

"Those who want to have a debate about values, a debate about - say - women's health care, I say, to borrow a phrase, bring it on", Handel told a cheering crowd.

An Ossoff win would not tip the balance of power in Washington but could weaken the already shaky hold Trump has on his fellow Republicans by encouraging lawmakers to distance themselves from him.
