Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro Launched in India: Price, Specifications and Release date

Apparently helped by the robust performance of its chip business, the company's operating profit is estimated at 9.9 trillion won ($8.76 billion) in the January-March period, compared with 6.68 trillion won posted a year earlier, the South Korean tech giant said in its regulatory filing.

Samsung has been facing various challenges since previous year, including the suspended production of the Galaxy Note 7 phablet and the arrest of the firm's de facto head Lee Jae-young in line with the corruption scandal that led to the ouster of South Korea's president.

Samsung shares touched a record high of 2.134 million won in late March on expectations of record earnings in 2017, as limited production capacity for the memory chip industry and growing demand for more firepower from devices such as smartphones and servers push up margins.

The good news for Samsung comes even in the wake of the explosive Galaxy Note 7 handsets and a political bribery and corruption scandal which is now on-going in South Korea.

Samsung has launched yet another "Pro" device in India, the Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro. Lee has previously denied the charges, saying that while Samsung did give money to the foundations, he didn't know Choi controlled them nor did he expect anything in return.

Japan says differences with USA on economic talks
Trade Representative specifically points to South Korea and China as countries that employ unfair trade practices. Both sides said they do not expect the talks in Tokyo this week to delve into sector-by-sector talks on trade.

The report also states that Samsung also assigned build numbers for the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 models, respectively N935LKLU2AQD2/ N935LLUC2AQD2/ N935LKLU2AQD2.

Samsung's sales alone make up a fifth of South Korea's GDP, and for many young Korean graduates getting a job in a chaebol is the most desirable outcome after years of toiling through a rigorous education system. Samsung was forced to recall it late a year ago after reports of the device overheating and exploding.

The scandal involves Vice Chairman Jay Y. Lee and several top executives accused of bribery and embezzlement.

The court is expected to deliver a verdict by the end of May.

Lee was arrested in February and appeared in a Seoul court on Friday.
