Sanders urges Democrats to reach out to Trump supporters

This woman told Bernie Sanders how tuition-free college could've stopped her from going hungry

Other rallies will be held in Arizona, Kentucky, Maine, Montana, Nebraska and Utah.

"Donald Trump did not win the election - the Democrats lost the election!" he said (again) during an event in Miami on Wednesday night.

Whereas party grandees once schemed in private over how to sabotage the Vermont senator's 2016 presidential campaign, they're now copacetic with Sanders' sway over the American left. Sanders is in a tour of Republican states in an attempt to energize Democratic vot.

In Texas, Trump won by 52 percent to Clinton's 43 percent, state records show. Sanders, who attracted millions of college-aged and young adults to his presidential campaign a year ago, is following through on a promise he made when he left the race: to promote younger leaders for the Democratic Party. Congressional Democrats said they were considering legislation that would prevent similar problems.

Troy Jackson, a logger from the northern Maine town of Allagash and the Maine Democratic Senate leader, said it's time that Democrats work harder for those communities. A good candidate for Democrats in Kansas might be a bad candidate for Democrats in NY or California. Sanders has endorsed Perriello thereby encouraging this primary. But the successful Democratic Party in each state, while supporting the overriding principles of fairness and decency the Democratic Party stands for, will be able to find and support candidates in each area of their state who can and will win. Sanders will call for Democrats to reach out to Trump supporters.

Sen. Sanders also mentioned in this interview a need to build Democratic parties at the grassroots level.

U.S. reviewing Venezuela's seizure of GM assets
Venezuela is going through a tough time due to rising conflicts between the Government officials and the people of the country. There were also late-night barricades and some looting in Caracas' middle class neighborhood of El Paraiso on Wednesday night.

Hillary Clinton won the Texas Democratic primary with 65 percent of the vote, and Trump won the state with 52 percent, but Sanders remains a popular figure here with progressives, many who maintain that "Bernie would've won" over two of the most unpopular presidential candidates in USA history. Do you think that's playing out in Congress, where Democrats drew a red line on negotiating on health care (no repeal of Obamacare) and are drawing another on taxes (Trump must release his tax returns first)?

"Those Republican leaders and President Trump don't give a s**t about the people they were trying to hurt", a wild-eyed Perez, arms flailing, yelled at the crowd.

We recently asked you to support our journalism. "The Establishment is like a doomsday cult; no matter how thoroughly their predictions fail to be refuted by reality, they just dig in deeper in their incoherent worldview, with devastating consequences for the rest of us", she wrote in an email. She praised Perez for bringing U.S. Rep.

Sanders, an independent who caucuses with the Democrats, was enormously popular in Maine Democratic circles past year, winning the party caucuses over Clinton after huge crowds of supporters turned out in Portland and other towns. "We're going to take you on", Sanders said. That is why we need strong state Democratic parties to help with recruitment. "We don't want to risk letting the small things that divide us make us lose our focus". Admission is first-come, first-serve with the doors opening at 10:30 a.m. The party wants people to RSVP at www.Democrats.org but said it's not required.

This story will be updated. His father, Mario Cuomo, served three terms as the governor of NY, from 1983 to 1995, and Andrew has served in government for most of his professional career, going all the way back to the 1980s.
