A deadly explosion has killed more than 112 people, including children, government supporters and opposition fighters, at an evacuation point outside Aleppo city.

The undamaged buses from the convoy continued Saturday and arrived in the evening at a temporary housing center in the Jebrin area of Aleppo.

The evacuees were being transported to Aleppo from villages along the front lines of fighting between government forces and rebel groups. The buses headed to the Jebrin area for a temporary housing center equipped with food and medical supplies, SANA said. Local medical facilities were stretched to the limit treating victims of the attack, while rights groups condemned the killing.

Under the evacuation deal, more than 2000 people, including rebel fighters, were granted safe passage out of Madaya, a town near Damascus besieged by government forces and their allies.

Madaya and Zabadani, once summer resorts to Damascus, have been shattered under the cruelty of a government siege.

There has been no claim of responsibility for the bombing, though the key Ahrar al-Sham rebel group denied any involvement.
