Voting begins to name April the Giraffe's male calf

More than a million viewers tuned in to the live stream of April's birth, breaking the internet with the great news.

April, a giraffe at New York's Animal Adventure Park, gave birth Saturday on a widely-and-intensely-watched live stream. However, it was nowhere close to the most-viewed live-streaming event in YouTube's history: That's the Red Bull Stratos space jump by skydiver Felix Baumgartner in October 2012, which more than 8 million people watched live concurrently on YouTube.

Before the calf's birth, there were already fund-generating means launched by Animal Adventurr Park - an apparel line and a GoFundMe page - reportedly to properly take care of the mother-baby giraffes.

The zoo began streaming live footage of April's pen on February 10, but the feed was briefly banned from YouTube for "nudity and sexual content" two weeks later.

"April has recovered perfectly and is eating everything in sight!" the team posted on its official Facebook page.

Unicorn Frappuccino Hair Is All The Rage on Instagram
This announcement came as a shock to many customers since there was so little advertising done to publicize the new drink. That is more than twice the amount of sugar that adult men and women are recommended to eat in an entire day.

"Then you can come back and vote on any of those 10 names". The gestation period of giraffes is 13 to 15 months.

April the Giraffe's newborn struggles to find its footing shortly after being born during a livestream on YouTube. April delivered the male calf Saturday morning.

This is April's fourth calf, but Animal Adventure Park's first giraffe calf. The calf weighed 129 pounds (58.5 kilograms) and stood 5-foot-9 at birth, and he is nursing well and has had his first vet checkup.

Millions of people around the USA and the world flocked to their screens early Saturday morning when April the giraffe went into labor.

The calf's father, Oliver, who watched the birth from an adjacent pen, is a first-time father at the age of 5. However, the park will not keep the newborn. It's located in Harpursville, New York, just 15 minutes outside of Binghamton, New York.
