Apple Pushes Back the Launch of First Original Series 'Carpool Karaoke'

It will premiere on the Apple Music.

We're not sure why Apple has delayed its first series (we've reached out to the company for comment and will update if it responds), but the optics aren't great. In a statement sent to Reuters, Apple said that Carpool Karaoke has been delayed until "later this year".

Apple has pushed back the launch of its first original series, Carpool Karaoke. The launch party for the new series has been postponed by the company twice already, and is now scheduled for next Monday. Previously, a premiere party for the series was scheduled to happen in Los Angeles in March; however, the team behind it announced at the Code Media conference in February that the show will instead debut this April. Apple's adaptation of James Corden's "Carpool Karaoke" segment will consist of 16 half-hour episodes that pair two celebrities together.

Building upon the viral success of Corden's The Late Late Show skits, which have included the likes of Adele, Madonna and Lady Gaga, the new show is also set to include more celebrity pairings.

Insurers are also desperate to get some clarity on the issue and make sure the administration continues making the payments. We're doing plans, we're doing specifications, we're doing a lot of work on the wall, and the wall is going to get built".

On the other hand, Apple Music which was created in 2015 has been struggling to get off the ground.

Both shows were an attempt by Apple to make its streaming service more competitive with rival Spotify, which has more subscribers but offers a free, ad-supported model, whereas Apple Music has just one premium tier at $9.99 a month.

The tech behemoth is moving into original programming, ordering Carpool Karaoke, reality competition series Planet of the Apps, with reported plans to greenlight drama series and movies.
