As part of Lucasfilm's Star Wars: Force for Change campaign, fans were invited to what they thought would be a simple video to remember the best scenes in the space saga's 40-year history. Yes, it's time to raise up our toy lightsabers in salute to the pun-driven pop culture holiday known as Star Wars Day.

Fandango is using its "force" as the world's biggest supplier of movie tickets to spread the Star Wars fandom through their streaming service FandangoNOW. Some fans dress up as their favourite characters, others host Star Wars-themed parties, or the die-hard ones attempt to watch the 10 movies in the series.

"May the 4th be with you!".

The history of this day dates to an ad placed in the London Evening News in 1979 congratulating Margaret Thatcher as she took office as UK Prime Minister.
