Melissa McCarthy Takes Spicer's Motorized Podium for a Spin in NYC

Numerous passersby caught video of McCarthy rolling down 58th Street outside the Time Warner Center in the motorized podium that has been used in her previous Spicer sketches.

McCarthy's first time around portraying Spicer on SNL came in early February, and was revered by critics and thrust the press secretary into the mainstream spotlight.

Since its debut in 1975, "Saturday Night Live" has been lionized and criticized for defining presidencies. In a previous episode of SNL, McCarthy as Spicer zips around the briefing room, ramming reporters.

It is unclear what McCarthy will be doing to mock Spicer, but it is very likely that McCarthy will be hiding among bushes after It was reported earlier in the week that Spicer was avoiding questions from the press about President Donald Trump firing now-former Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey.

For Trump, Russia probe is crisis he can't control
Richard Burr, a North Carolina Republican who chairs the Senate intelligence committee, called the appointment a "good decision". The Justice Department said Mueller has resigned from his job at a private law firm to take the job of special counsel .

Video shot by bystanders showed McCarthy screaming while wildly waving her arms and she zigged and zagged her podium down the street and right up the the doors which lead to CNN's offices.

According to The Mail, she was heard shouting at traffic and pedestrians to "get out the way" as she sped towards CNN HQ.

It's unclear what the skit covers, but McCarthy already poked fun at Spicer reportedly hiding in the bushes for this week's promo.

McCarthy is hosting "Saturday Night Live" this weekend and is expected to reprise the role, which has drawn lots of attention this season much like Alec Baldwin as President Donald Trump. "I feel like my dad and Sean Spicer had a baby and it's me". This is clearly about more than advertising: McCarthy and the people behind the show delight in trolling the current administration.
