Agent in dark over Toure deal

From being snubbed earlier this season to now being offered a new contract, it seems as though Pep Guardiola has been convinced by Manchester City star Yaya Toure.

According to Dimitri Seluk, Toure would find it hard to turn down a new City deal if he was offered one, but the midfielder will have a long list of clubs to choose from in the summer.

City boss Guardiola said: "Nine years here - to replace that you need a guy that stays nine years here".

"It was unbelievable, very handsome, unforgettable and a big mark in the Club's history after a long period of waiting", Silva said.

"His impact here was wonderful, he was the first player to come here and he helped make this club what it is right now", Guardiola told a news conference. "At the end of his contract, we will look at the offers he has".

Pablo Zabaleta, on the other hand, informed the club some weeks ago that he would not sign a new deal even if one was offered because he feels it is time to move on at the age of 32.

City will honour the departing Zabaleta at Tuesday's final home game of the season against West Brom.

Huddersfield moves 1 win away from the Premier League
At the end, if you play two games and you have to go to the penalty shootout, it says how tight and even the games were. The first leg had finished goalless, and the second leg at the Hillsborough Stadium on Wednesday evening ended 1-1.

Zabaleta takes enormous satisfaction from helping turn City from mid-table mediocrity and living in United's shadow to Manchester's top club.

"When I first came to Manchester I felt like when I was in Barcelona at Espanyol; we were not the main club in the city", said Zabaleta. We were not the main club in the city. I remember at that time [Sir Alex] Ferguson and the "noisy neighbours" and this is something that I have been since that time!

"Here they gave me a second chance and we will try to do it. I hope all the fans can come to support us, as we are playing for a lot of important things, but also so they can express gratitude for one of the most important players in the history of Manchester City". The win means the Gers trail Aberdeen by six points with two games left ahead of their clash at Ibrox on Wednesday.

Guardiola's side were 2-0 up after 36 minutes thanks to a David Silva strike and Gabriel Jesus' penalty before Shinji Okazaki pulled a goal back for Leicester just before the break.

City began Guardiola's reign with 10 straight wins and rising optimism but will end the campaign trophy-less, with the likelihood of a Champions League place their only tonic.

Asked if this kind of inconsistency infuriates managers, Leicester boss Craig Shakespeare said: 'I think the honest answer is yes.

Shakespeare added: 'Riyad is probably more self-critical than anybody realises.
