Glass Castle Trailer with Brie Larson & Woody Harrelson

The-Glass-Castle-Brie-Larson

Lionsgate has dropped the first trailer for the film. Now a successful journalist based in New York, Walls looks back at her life, including the constant upheavals brought on by her father's inability to find steady work, thanks in part to a drinking problem. Check it out below. Oscar victor Brie Larson stars as journalist Jeannette Walls in an adaptation of her bestselling 2005 memoir about her upbringing by her dysfunctional parents: her alcoholic father Rex (Woody Harrelson) and her artist mother Rose Mary (Naomi Watts). We were drowning, ' she's seen saying to him, and, seemingly near tears, she notes that 'It was your job to protect us'. And we'll get to see how the story comes together (or falls apart depending on your point of view) as the film is split into two time periods: one focusing on a younger version of Walls and the other centered on an older Walls (played by Larson). Check out the Glass Castle trailer below, along with new stills in the gallery!

"I hope that in seeing my story, it makes people think about what they've been through", Walls says. Here's what Watts had to say about her co-star Larson. "She understands how to be strong and vulnerable at the same time, how you can fight and be scared at the same time".

The 2013 indie film Short Term 12 launched Brie Larson's career in a big way, and in the relatively quick time since then, she's starred in a major studio comedy (Trainwreck), a massive Hollywood monster movie (Kong: Skull Island), and snagged the lead role in an upcoming Marvel superhero film.
