For 2016, Kehlani and Kylo saw the biggest increases. The administration attributed this hike to singer Kehlani Parrish who was nominated for a Grammy previous year. She was named an artist to watch and clearly new parents agree her star is rising. Both jumped down a spot in the 2016 rankings. In 2015, Kylo was number 3,269. Perhaps Kylo can continue to harness the force and climb even higher in the coming years.

For boys, it was Creed.

The name Zayn also rose in 2016, which could be based on Zayn Malik, the former One Direction star, Forbes reported. For boys, it was Creed, which could be attributed to the return to the silver screen of boxer Rocky Balboa in the 2015 movie "Creed", where Rocky trains Adonis Johnson Creed, the son of his late boxing rival Apollo Creed.
