A woman who lives in the same Cincinnati apartment complex as Reynolds said Friday that her 13-year-old son sometimes played with Gabriel outside.

Reynolds' attorneys say she didn't learn her son was bullied until they saw an email written by a Cincinnati police detective that describes the scene outside a boys' bathroom, where the attorneys say Gabriel was knocked unconscious.

The school said it released the surveillance video to be "completely transparent" and reminded the public that "no charges resulted" from an investigation into Gabriel's death.

Other students poked and touched Gabriel for as long as nearly five minutes until a school official appeared to care for the boy, according to a Cincinnati Police Department detective's written account of what he saw on school surveillance video. The school video shows Gabriel walking into the restroom and reaching out to shake another student's hand.

Gabriel remained unconscious as students stepped over his body, pointed at, nudged and kicked him for about five minutes before an assistant principal entered the bathroom and found him.

A Hamilton County coroner's office spokesman said new evidence has prompted the reopening of the suicide investigation of Gabriel Taye, who hanged himself in his bedroom with a necktie on January 26.

The demonstrators outside Carson Elementary School on Friday carried signs with slogans that said, "Say no to bullying" and "Honk for Gabe". Doctors concluded he likely had a stomach virus and sent him home.

The homicide detective inspected the security video as a part of the Cincinnati police's investigation into Gabriel's death. That day, he would come home from school, go to his room and take his own life.

Cincinnati Public Schools released a statement Thursday with a different account of what happened.

Second Labour council group barred from Tory coalition deal
However, Ms Dugdale said there was "categorically no deal with the Tories in North Lanarkshire ". An attempt to form a coalition with the four LibDem councillors proved fruitless.

Gabriel, the statement said, "was an outstanding young man, and this is a great loss for his family and our school community". When the 8-year-old approached him and tried to shake his hand, the boy threw him against the wall, knocking him unconscious, Leader said.

The district said administrators asked Cornelia Reynolds, Gabriel's mother, to pick him up from school and take him to a hospital.

Coroner Lakshmi Sammarco, the coroner for Cincinnati, was interviewed on WLW radio on Thursday and stated that she has requested that OH police conduct a full investigation into whether there were contributing factors at school that led to Gabriel's suicide.

As Crime Online previously reported, Gabriel Taye's mother found him dead by hanging in his bedroom on January 26.

So far, no criminal charges have been filed in connection with the death of 8-year-old Gabriel Taye.

Gabriel's mother only learned of the bullying incident after her attorneys got a copy of the police investigation into her son's death. The statement also said the nurse contacted Gabriel's mother and asked her to pick him up and take him to the hospital, a claim denied by the family, Branch said. "His vitals are fine, he's fine and she made a decision to come to the school to get him to make sure he was okay and she took him home", Branch said. (Picture: Reuters) That same night, she took him to the hospital after he started throwing up and he was diagnosed with a stomach flu.

Leader described the boy as a "happy-go-lucky kid" who had shown no signs of mental issues.

"She doesn't even want to go to school anymore, and she always liked school", Amy Henson said.
