North Korea says linking cyber attack to Pyongyang is 'ridiculous'

North Korea has justified its latest long-, medium-range ballistic missile test-firing as "routine work to raise nuclear capability for self-defence", rejecting the UN Security Council's condemnation.

Left-leaning Moon favours engagement with the North to bring it to the negotiating table, but after Sunday's missile launch said dialogue would be possible "only if Pyongyang changes its behaviour".

Trump has called for an immediate halt to North Korea's missile and nuclear tests and U.S. Disarmament Ambassador Robert Wood said on Tuesday that China's leverage was key and Beijing could do more.

Trump has said "a major, major conflict" with North Korea is possible and all options are on the table but that he wanted to resolve the crisis diplomatically, possibly through the extended use of economic sanctions.

North Korea is also known as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

The North has staged two atomic tests and dozens of missile tests in its quest to build a missile capable of delivering a nuclear warhead to the United States mainland.

The teen has claimed he encouraged her to role-play rape fantasies with him and to say his name while touching herself. In a plea agreement with prosecutors, he agreed not to appeal any sentence between 21 and 27 months in prison.

"I think it should be causing all of us concern at this point", she said while sitting on the steps of a federal building in downtown Anchorage, just after eating her first-ever reindeer dog, purchased from a street vendor. "You have to pick a side".

"The fact that Trump said he will not have talks for the sake of talks reiterated our joint stance that we are open to dialogue but the right situation must be formed", Foreign Ministry spokesman Cho June-hyuck told a regular briefing.

The ferry's Russian operators say it is purely a commercial venture, but the service's launch coincides with what some experts say is a drive by North Korea to build ties with Moscow in case its closest ally China turns its back.

In its response to the test, the USA government released a statement saying that "the United States maintains our ironclad commitment to stand with our allies in the face of the serious threat posed by North Korea".

"Combining nuclear warheads with ballistic technology in the hands of a volatile leader like Kim Jong-un is a recipe for a disaster", AP cited Harris as saying.

Speaking to the Associated Press about what would happen in the event of a nuclear strike from the North, scientist David Wright, of the UCS Global Security Program, and rocket analyst Markus Schiller, of ST Analytics in Germany, described how the drama would unfold. "The U.S., we are willing to talk - but not until we see a total stop of the nuclear process and any tests there".

Nikki Haley, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said the United States believed it could persuade China to impose new U.N. sanctions on North Korea and warned that Washington would "call out" states supporting Pyongyang and target them with sanctions too.
