Destiny 2 on Nintendo Switch is "pretty unrealistic" according to Bungie

Destiny 2 on Nintendo Switch is

"Our focus in terms of supporting non-Blizzard games is exclusively around Destiny 2", clarified Blizzard in a blog post. Folks who played the first title were quite anxious though about their progress with the original game.

Bungie, the company behind the original "Halo" games, released the first "Destiny" game in September 2014, but several expansions and major updates over the last three years radically changed how players experienced that game. Every player creates their own character called a "Guardian", humanity's chosen protectors. Bungie also confirmed a few features of Destiny's 2 PC version, including 4K support and an uncapped framerate.

While those who attended the Destiny 2 event this week weren't allowed to record footage of the PC version, they were permitted to discuss it at length. That said, Shaw did say Bungie and Vicarious Visions (which is working on the PC version) are aware of concerns related to lag in Destiny, though they are not yet ready to share any specifics regarding tickrate. This will be the first game developed by a separate studio to arrive for Battle.net, which has only offered Blizzard-developed games until now. There will be a beta for the game this summer for the consoles as well, and another one out later for PC. During this presentation we found out about many interesting details of the game one of which is that "Destiny 2" will be first released on consoles and later other variants will be made available.

This doesn't sound like a half-assed port, as Bungie's plans include a lot of PC-centric features, according to PC Gamer.

At launch, there will be the usual strikes, PvP and raid modes. The game previously being a console exclusive will be sure to have a smaller playerbase on PC this time around because of the lack of veterans that were enthusiastic for the first game. From what was shown today, it appears that Destiny 2 will have something for everyone.
