Here's who the experts are predicting to win the NBA Finals

Kevin Durant watches his three-point shot

In Golden State's 113-91 Game 1 victory, Durant was the unquestioned star.

LeBron James had a simple explanation for what stood out in Game 1 of the NBA Finals: KD. Needless to say, those numbers are a tad low for someone who is allegedly an All-NBA quality player. "We know that. They probably lost eight games (here) over the course of three seasons".

The Cavaliers entered the game 12-1 in the postseason.

"When you turn the ball over, that's when they become very unsafe because those guys, they sprint down the lane, they sprint to the 3-point line, they put a lot of pressure on your defense", James said. What they feared was adding Durant's 38/8/8 to a Warriors team that was already at the top of the league. After Game 1 was so lopsided, it's going to take James playing even better than 2016 and 2015 for the Cavaliers to even have a shot.

"They're tough at home", Cavaliers Coach Tyronn Lue.

Of the 13 that picked the Cavs, eight picked them to win seven games, and three picked them to win in six, and two picked them to win in four. "They capitalized. And we get a couple days to see what they did and see what we did wrong and how we can be better in game two". Unfortunately for James, outside of Kyrie Irving's 24 points, he didn't get much help Thursday night in Oakland.

"As a group, we want to move the ball a little bit better", Richard Jefferson added.

That certainly is what the Cavaliers are going to have to hope is the case after the drubbing they received Thursday.

Game one the NBA Finals was essentially over in the second quarter Thursday night.

It underscores the difficulty of the proposition facing Cleveland now.

ESPN - 23 picked the Warriors, five picked the Cavaliers. The same goes for Durant, Curry and the Warriors. While it sounds daunting that 70 percent of teams that win Game 1 of the NBA Finals win the NBA title, that leaves ample elbow room for the greatest player on the planet and the defending world champions to redeem themselves. "It's a different dynamic when Kevin Durant is pushing the ball in transition and Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are on the wings, we got spread out in transition". Green had a team-high 11 rebounds to go with nine points. They can shoot the ball from the perimeter; they can get into the paint. "That's when they become very unsafe because those guys, they sprint down the lane, they sprint to the 3-point line, they put a lot of pressure on your defense".

Most notoriously, the Golden State Warriors sharpshooter drained a pull-up 30-footer, as J.R. Smith was late to close out on him on the perimeter, resulting on an entertaining high-kick celebration.

Durant dominated early with dunks when the Cavs tried to silence 3-point sharpshooters, only to have Curry catch fire in a 13-0 run that opened the second half and put Cleveland down double digits for good.

But as the Cavaliers attempt to figure out what changes they can make, only one thing seems certain: last year's blueprint doesn't seem to be workable with this year's team. In the darkest timeline of this series for Cleveland and Love, the Cavs get blown off the floor and lose in four.
