Jared Kushner will answer questions 'when the time is right'

How the White House is trying to manage an Oval Office in crisis

Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser, spoke in December with Russia's Ambassador to the US about establishing a secret communications channel between the Trump transition team and Moscow to discuss strategy in Syria and other policy issues, according to three people with knowledge of the discussion.

After returning late Saturday from his first foreign trip as president, Trump geared up to combat concerns over his advisers' ties to Russian Federation, including explosive reports about Jared Kushner, his indispensable aide-de-camp.

Mudd was referring to last week's Washington Post report that Kushner met in December with the Russian ambassador to the U.S.to discuss establishing a secret communication channel to the Kremlin that could not be monitored by US intelligence - using Russian facilities.

President Donald Trump's former national security advisor has agreed to release documents to the Senate Intelligence Committee as part of its congressional investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

The White House faces mounting questions about potential ties between Russian Federation and Trump's presidential campaign, which are also the subject of criminal and congressional investigations.

Is Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, the one really running the show? A final day has not been set, Dubke said.

Floods, mudslides in Sri Lanka following heavy rains
More than 90 people were reported dead and hundreds were missing after heavy rains triggered floods and mudslides in Sri Lanka. The country's southwest is often referred to as the "wet belt", IFRC said, because ample rainfall is common in the region.

He said the other potential problem would be if Kushner did not disclose meetings with Russian officials during the FBI's background check.

In a statement given to the New York Times, Trump praised the "great job" Kushner is doing but he did not directly address allegations made against him.

The New York Times and Washington Post said he wanted to use Russian facilities to avoid U.S. interception of discussions with Moscow.

The White House is bracing for the upcoming congressional testimony of former Federal Bureau of Investigation chief James Comey.

Kushner has been under tremendous scrutiny following a Washington Post report Friday that said he spoke with a top Russian official in December about establishing a private communications channel.

The Republican chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee cited a Reuters report in calling for an investigation into "potentially fraudulent statements and misrepresentations" in marketing materials for a Kushner Companies real estate project, which suggested investors might be able to obtain usa green cards.
