Russians discussed 'derogatory' info about Trump, aides

No one in the Trump administration deny the basic outline of the blockbuster story, namely that he had not disclosed secret contacts with Russians that involved the potential for a secret channel, which Russia, but not US intelligence services, could monitor.

Russian officials spoke of having potentially "derogatory" information about Donald Trump during the 2016 election campaign, CNN reported on Tuesday, citing two former intel officials and a source in Congress.

One of the sources said the information was financial in nature, which could either be some sort of embarrassing proof that Trump isn't as rich as he says he is, or could be embarrassing because it shows he does have ties to serious financial ties to Russian Federation after all, after denying it many times.

One of the sources, CNN reports, says that the information as "financial in nature" and said the discussion "centered on whether the Russians had leverage over Trump's inner circle".

Manafort is known to have extensive business ties to the Russians, but he has repeatedly denied allegations that he has illicit financial links with the Russians.

The insane Donald Trump scandal news cycle is starting early this week.

Prior to Trump assuming office, CNN reported that the intelligence community briefed both Trump and then-President Barack Obama on an unverified dossier compiled by a former member of British intelligence detailing Russia's attempts to compile compromising information on Trump and his team. The reality is, a review of the President's income from the last ten years showed he had virtually no financial ties at all.

Trump's chummy interchange with Russian officials in the White House, which could not have been more different than his awkward, frosty meetings with European allies. There appears to be no limit to which the President's political opponents will go to perpetuate this false narrative, including illegally leaking classified material.

Donald Trump Jr. told a forum of real estate investors in 2008 that the family business has seen "a lot of money pouring in from Russian Federation".

The liberal media was still a-flutter on Tuesday about a Washington Post report that Trump's son-in-law and top adviser Jared Kushner met with the Russian ambassador in December to discuss the possibility of setting up "a secret and secure communications channel between Trump's transition team and the Kremlin". "Very bad for U.S. This will change".
