Snubs and slights are part of the job in Trump's White House

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer on Wednesday referred all questions related to the FBI's Russian Federation investigation from now on to President Trump's lawyer, Marc Kasowitz. But a day later, during a briefing that lasted just under 12 minutes, Spicer signaled that the White House has made a decision to let President Donald Trump's private lawyers field those inquiries.

"Inquiries about the Russian Federation investigation must be directed to Trump's longtime personal attorney, Marc Kasowitz".

Last month, testifying to a Senate panel just days before he was sacked as FBI director, James Comey refused to say whether the FBI or Justice Department had opened a criminal investigation into the "variety of leaks" tied to the ongoing Russian Federation probe.

President Donald Trump's top adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner, on the firing line for his reported attempt to set up a "back-channel" with Russian Federation, has received support from United States ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley.

White House advisor Kellyanne Conway said Friday that the president is still considering whether he should use executive privilege to block the testimony.

Subpoenas demanding information for unmasking requests were issued to former Central Intelligence Agency director John Brennan, former White House National Security Advisor Susan Rice, and United Nations Ambassador Samantha Power.

Terror funding row: NIA raids in Kashmir and New Delhi
Aides and kins of separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani were among those whose houses were raided by the agency on Friday. Along with this, two places in Sonepat were also being searched by the NIA teams in this connection.

In his first public appearance since Mr Trump fired him on May 9, Mr Comey will address the Senate Intelligence Committee in both an open session and behind closed doors, which would allow him to discuss classified information, the committee said on Thursday.

Associates have said Comey wrote memos describing certain interactions with Trump that gave him pause in the months after the election, including details of a dinner in which he claimed the president asked him to pledge his loyalty, and a request to shut down the investigation of Flynn.

The committee's ranking Democrat, Rep. Adam Schiff of California, said Nunes approved the unmasking subpoenas without consulting with Democrats on the committee. In the 1970s, the Executive Branch sought a preliminary injunction against AT&T's response to a Senate subpoena on national security/executive privilege grounds.

"I know for the moment they're loving the story, but i think it's kinda exploded the story that they've been telling us for sixth months", he concluded. Trump himself will likely have an ill-conceived Twitter meltdown during the testimony.

The president ended his second tweet on the matter by again referring to several congressional investigations and the FBI's probe into Russian Federation as a collective "Witch Hunt!" Legal experts told Reuters that Trump would face an uphill climb in blocking Comey's testimony.
