UK PM May's lead over Labour shrinks

Jeremy Corbyn will be heading to York to talk about his party's industrial strategy

May could attempt to lead a government without commanding a majority, relying on her opponents for support in Parliament on an issue-by-issue basis.

I spoke to one senior Tory who's been inside the CCHQ operation and struggled to think of more than a tiny handful of Tory MPs who he thinks are seriously anxious about the prospect of losing their seats.

Mr Corbyn didn't get off lightly either, with the first question from the audience on why the British public should trust him to negotiate Brexit. "UKIP started Brexit", one said.

On Brexit: "Other parties wanted to frustrate those Brexit negotiations and that will of the people expressed in the referendum vote".

"I think it would be a coalition of chaos that would descend very quickly, and don't underestimate the impact of the markets..."

"The EU said no, Not until the formal negotiations begin", He said.

"I want to form a Labour government with a majority to carry out this fantastic programme which can give so much hope and opportunity for so many people". "I would sign a letter with any other leader that would deplore that, straightaway".

It is not the first time the Tories have been accused of using misleading quotes about Labour officials and policies.

"Set free from the shackles of European Union control, we will be a great, global trading nation once again bringing new jobs and new opportunities for ordinary working families here at home", she said.

"We are contesting all the constituencies. If we are the largest party we go ahead - no deals - with our manifesto, our Budget and our Queen's Speech".

He told LBC: "I am more for Corbyn than for May for exactly the opposite of what Quentin says".

Theresa May will be heading to South Yorkshire to campaign

Mr Corbyn is making a speech in York to set out his plans to create one million "high quality" jobs by investing £250 billion in industry.

He didn't. Instead, his loss led to an identity crisis and leadership contest that resulted in Corbyn, a member of the party's once-isolated left wing, ending up as an election candidate. "I am still going to vote for him, because in my heart I vote Labour, as my parents did before and my grandparents", she said.

"I think it's worth it for a better society in which everyone can achieve something".

A young woman asked why the former London mayor had not been suspended over his rant in a radio interview 14 months ago, to which Mr Corbyn said investigations "may continue".

'It's not going to happen quickly, it's not going to happen easily, but we have to have that wish'.

"We're in the laboratory now, what's being discovered here, what's being researched here, similar kind of things are being done in all parts of the world".

Appearing on BBC's Question time, the Labour leader was asked how he would react if Britain was under imminent threat from nuclear weapons.

'And so I would be actively engaged to ensure that danger did not come about. In this regard, there was little difference between the policies of the Tory party initiated by Margaret Thatcher during the 1980s and the two Labour Party PMs Tony Blair and Gordon Brown. "I think it is a serious and realistic document that addresses the issues that many people in this country face and we've been fearless enough to put it out there with all the policies that are in it".

"We have a situation where if Jeremy Corbyn was to get into number 10, he'd be being propped up by the Liberal Democrats and the Scottish Nationalists", she said. "And I'm prepared to do that". And she actually answered a lot of questions, and by "answer" I mean respond point by point.

"Keir, the Lib Dems and Labour talk, we act".
