Ariana Grande Fights Back Tears During Medley Of Powerhouse Songs For Manchester

The US singer returned to the stage in Manchester on Sunday night, less than two weeks after 22 people were killed in the attack at her concert at Manchester Arena.

Greater Manchester Police assistant chief constable Garry Shewan also issued a statement following Saturday's attack, which left seven dead and 48 injured.

Since returning to the United Kingdom on Friday, Ariana has spent time visiting some of her fans who were injured in the attack, as well as ensuring Sunday's star-studded show is a fitting and poignant tribute to the 22 fans who lost their lives in the Manchester Arena attack, along with those affected by the terror attack at London Bridge on Saturday night.

"I want to thank you so much for coming together and being strong", Grande said. In times like these, we have to show love and kindness for those in need, and the Manchester One Love is a comfort to us all.

"Our response to this violence must be to come closer together, to help each other, to love more, to sing louder and to live more kindly and generously than we did before", Grande said.

"Because of our children and those children who had their tomorrow's ripped away from them, we owe it to them to be courageous". Proceeds from the event are going to the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.

Pharrell Williams then took to the stage to perform a duet with Miley Cyrus of his song "Happy", followed by a solo performance from Miley Cyrus. "You joining us here today with so many watching around the world sends that message spoken by Olivia Campbell-Hardy's mother, Charlotte that her daughter and all of the others lost will never be victims". Grande surprised young fans injured in the Manchester Arena attack, hugging the thrilled little girls in their hospital beds as they recovered from injuries sustained in the May 22 suicide bombing.

Warriors' Steve Kerr returns to the bench, will coach Game 2
Tacking on their 104-89 Game 1 win last season, Golden State won the first two games by a combined 48 points. Word of Kerr's return quickly spread. "And the other thing, Mike just wasn't getting the job done".

The show also saw performances from Take That, who opened their set with their crowd-pleasing song Let It Shine before renditions of Giants and Rule The World.

Ariana then took to the stage to perform for the first time since the attack at Manchester Arena on the 22nd May, wearing a special One Love Manchester jumper. She appeared emotional as she performed "Be Alright" and "Break Free".

An estimated 60,000 people attended the One Manchester Concert.

The BBC reported that 14,200 tickets "were being held" for the people affected by the terrorist attack on May 22, and the rest of the tickets for Grande's concert at the 50,000 capacity venue "sold out in minutes".

The concert also will be broadcast on more than 130 iHeartRadio stations, and MTV will livestream the event on the website "That's how we know there's no end to love", William said. "I am so honoured to be at this incredible event surrounded by all you awesome people".

Tipping says: "We can't let them stop us".
