Dylan sends Nobel lecture required for prize money Swedish Academy

"Wonder Woman" is officially a box office hero. This weekend a year ago "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" flopped, but still led the domestic box office with $35 million.

Patty Jenkins's movie has witnessed the biggest opening ever for a movie directed by a woman and has been one of the summer's biggest debuts in the US to date.

Even the Israeli beauty, Gal Gadot admitted in an interview that she had never thought she would ever get to play an influential character like Wonder Woman in her life. Clearly, this is a movie that is resonating with moviegoers around the globe.

On Friday, Wonder Woman hit theaters across the country - FINALLY!

"The Gods have seen fit to bless us with Wonder Woman", she wrote on Twitter.

Warner Bros. needs a critical and commercial success from "Wonder Woman". It's massive opening weekend, domestically and internationally, has garnered $200 million in two days, shattering expectations and making this the highest grossing opening weekend for a female-directed film in cinematic history.

London Bridge reopens after terror attack
Isis claimed responsibility for the attack, the third major militant assault to hit Britain in less than three months. Residents reported hearing "loud flash bangs and gunshots" in the early hours of Monday morning.

Compared with other superhero flicks, "Wonder Woman's" $100.5 million debut tally is a larger domestic opening than "Iron Man" ($98.6 million), "Doctor Strange" ($85 million) and "Thor" ($65.7 million).

"Wonder Woman" probably won't be what you expect.

Chris Pine portrays Steve Trevor and he is also awesome, and him and Gal Gadot have absolutely fantastic chemistry that always works, and never falls flat.

And overseas, "Wonder Woman" also won the weekend with 122.5 million USA dollars from 55 markets for a global cume of 223 million US dollars. The animated family-friendly action adventure based on the children's novel series "Captain Underpants" by Day Pilkey.

Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" landed in third in its second week with $21.6 million, a 66% drop week to week.

Wonder Woman is expected to top the box office. The film took in $122.5m overseas on top of it's already impressive domestic opening of $100.5m.
