British PM Theresa May under fresh pressure as top aides quit

May's party is short of the 326 it needed for an outright majority and fairly down from the 330 seats it had before the election.

The Labour party gaining huge won 262 seats has urged May to resign and make way for it to form the minority government.

Over the weekend, Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson said she has received assurances from the Prime Minister over gay rights should the Tories do a deal with DUP.

May's gamble in calling an early election backfired spectacularly, as her Conservative Party lost its majority in Parliament.

The DUP, the largest party in the Northern Ireland assembly and which secured 10 parliamentary seats in the general election, was founded by Ian Paisley in 1971.

US President Donald Trump has told British Prime Minister Theresa May that he looks forward to working with her in strengthening the bilateral ties after she chose to form a minority government following snap polls.

May's office has already said that the senior Cabinet members - Treasury chief Philip Hammond, Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson and Home Secretary Amber Rudd - will keep their current jobs, but she is expected to reshuffle the lower ranks of ministers.

"The last thing the Conservatives need now is another election, particularly after the disastrous results of the general election", Tonge said.

May says it's "a Cabinet that reflects the wealth of talent and experience across the Conservative Party" and "a government that is going to be governing for everyone".

Paul Pogba happy with 'complicated' first season at Manchester United
But when I look at Pogba, he has come into the club and improved us in that area. "I think I'm ready now", he told the club's official website .

Foster, who is due to meet May on Tuesday to finalise a deal, said the DUP would also be "mindful of our responsibility to help bring stability to the nation at this time of challenge".

"If we are not European Union members there will have to be an arrangement - we want a tariff-free access to European Union market." he said.

Coalition: The DUP have reached an agreement with the Tories.

"She said, 'Give me a mandate.' And the answer was, 'No.' And that means we have to rethink everything, the entirety of the way we're doing Brexit", Dunt said.

The new parliament will be sworn in Tuesday, but the real test for May is likely to come on June 19, when MPs are to vote on her programme after it is outlined in parliament by Queen Elizabeth II on June 19.

"People have a real sense of community in Wales", she said.

Speaking to the "Sunday Mirror", Mr Corbyn said: "I can still be prime minister".

"I asked for a categoric assurance that if any deal or scoping deal was done with the DUP there would be absolutely no rescission of LGBTI rights in the rest of the United Kingdom, in Great Britain, and that we would use any influence that we had to advance LGBTI rights in Northern Ireland".

May called for a snap election in April, pledging to form a government that would guide the country through the Brexit process. If some Conservative MPs desert the party on key votes than May's plans would be left in tatters.
