Destiny 2 Hits PC In October

Destiny 2 will now be released on September 6 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as opposed to its originally announced September 8 release date.

Another date: the Destiny 2 console beta early access period for PS4 players who pre-ordered begins 18th July at 10am PDT (6pm United Kingdom time). Those with pre-orders will get on July 18 or 19, with the earlier date being reserved for PlayStation buyers.

Bungie has also revealed that the PC beta for Destiny 2 is coming in late August.

Destiny 2 is nearly here, and it's closer than anyone expected.

Watch a new set of trailers below.

Benni Mccarthy as a Pirates player
McCarthy has previously been an assistant at a Belgian top-flight club but this will be his first shot as the head coach. Cape Town City on Tuesday appointed Benni McCarthy as their new coach on a three-year deal.

So, Xbox One Destiny players may want to consider a switch over to the PS4 version for the sequel. PC players will have to wait until October 24 to join their console counterparts in the fight against The Red Legion.

In addition, Activision and Bungie revealed that Destiny 2 PC will be released on October 24, and is available for pre-order right now via Battle.net.

After these dates, anyone on consoles will be able to access the beta period starting at 21 July at 10.00 am PDT (or 22 July at 3.00 am AEST). Still, you'll get a look at some gameplay footage of the game too, I suppose, so that's something. As with timed exclusive DLC in Destiny, this content will eventually come to Xbox One.

As a multi-platform title, we're not sure what to make of this, especially with Destiny 2 making its PC debut.
