India are under more pressure than us: Mashrafe Mortaza

The Tigers' bowlers were running in at full pace in pleasant weather and hitting the stump more frequently than not.

"Literally, when a cricket match is happening, there's nothing else in Bangladesh", Bashar said in a phone interview from Dhaka after returning from the Champions Trophy.

Skipper Mashrafe Mortaza even found the time to fool around with his coach.

"It is more like an Oval wicket".

"We always believe that our pacers can do well against India".

"The players are very excited to play in the semifinal of this kind of tournament". India let other sides drive themselves into a frenzy in these big matches, and themselves concentrate on maintaining little disciplines.

"I think everyone has contributed to what we are today", Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza said.

"If you want to improve you will have to face this sort of situation. We are going to treat it like how we treated the last game and our mindset does not differ", he said. The one question that must have irritated him was the 2015 World Cup quarter-final controversy. It is something we don't expect. We are focussing on our semi-final.

He also said that the players had forgotten what happened in that quarterfinal at the MCG, where a couple of umpiring decisions went against Bangladesh. He is one win away from leading his side into a major final and will not be distracted by all the palaver about this being a "grudge match".

Jeff Sessions brands accusations of Russian Federation collusion an 'appalling lie'
But: When Comey brought it up the next day, Sessions said he agreed it wasn't a good idea to be alone with the president. But I have to tell you, Senator King, I know nothing but what I've read in the paper.

"No. It could have been England or it could have been anyone [in that quarterfinal]". It has been 24 months. We have played a lot of games against them after that - in the Asia Cup, in the T20 World Cup and of course the home series that we have won. "We just need to execute another flawless game", the skipper said in reference to India's eight-wicket win at The Oval on Sunday.

"This is big, very big", Bashar said.

Bashar is the former captain of Bangladesh's national cricket team, which will be taking part in the biggest game in its history.

"We played in Birmingham before".

He also thanked his Indian counterpart Virat Kohli for terming his team "a unsafe opposition". And we have good structure now.

Kohli and the current team has played a number of pressure games in ICC tournaments, but he said on a new day that will count for little. Some will perform well and for some it won't go that well. "As long as I am performing, I would like to play", he added. They will have to think professionally. Obviously, as a batsman you want to finish off games, so you are not necessarily going to get out thinking my middle-order hasn't got any game time. "It is also important for those who are performing to keep up their good work".

Given Bangladesh's progress in recent years - especially in the one-day global format - Mashrafe was equivocal as to whether their latest clash with India was their most important fixture of all-time. "The whole nation will be with us as they were in our desperate times and good times".

"It happens sometimes in cricket, but we need to forget it and move on".

"We are not going to go with what past results have done going into a big game like this".
