Pakistan dismisses misfiring England for 211 in semifinals

Eoin Morgan has tipped the "relentless attitude" of Jonny Bairstow to come to the fore on Wednesday as England make one change to their batting lineup for the Champions Trophy semi-final with Pakistan in Cardiff. He is replaced by Ruman Raees, 25-year-old left-arm medium-fast bowler from Karachi.

The pace of the wicket proved England's undoing as the previously used track was superbly exploited by seamers Junaid Khan and Rumman, while Hasan Ali was able to extract enough movement to remove all three of the hosts' dangermen.

Such was Pakistan's control that Ben Stokes's 34 took 64 balls and did not include a single boundary.

"We all know that chasing is a real challenge for Pakistani teams regardless of the score".

Pakistan will now face title-holders India in Sunday's final at the Oval if their arch-rivals beat Bangladesh in today's second semi-final at Edgbaston. I think his best attribute, certainly in white-ball cricket over the previous year and a half, has been his relentless attitude to score runs regardless of the situation.

Rumman with two Twenty20 Internationals was playing his first One-day global today.

Fakhar Zaman reached his half-century with a healthy strike rate of 102, as both Ali and Zaman's partnership crossed the 100 mark in 17.2 overs.

JR Smith was everything we ever wanted in Game 5
Durant also had the second most points in a five-game NBA Finals with 176, only passed by Allen Iverson's 178 in the 2001 Finals. The Warriors won 129-120 to win the National Basketball Association championship.

England have won 12 of their last 14 meetings with Pakistan in ODIs (L2); they did lose their most recent encounter however (4th September 2016), that game taking place at this very venue in Cardiff.

Their issue is fielding, which has never been Pakistan's strength, and it could cost them the game against England, as the home side have players who can win match singlehandedly from a hopeless situation. The all-rounder added that the hosts will be in for a shock if they take their opponents lightly. Azhar Ali smashed Stokes for another six and a four in the 13th over as Pakistan moved to 78-0.

If we go by the odds, the battle between England and Pakistan will not be short on the entertainment factor as the two sides had a long history of creating some indelible memories on the cricket field.

Rumman Raees bagged his first ODI wicket in the fifth over of the game as Hales came down the track lodging the ball straight towards Babar Azam at cover.

England rode on useful contributions from top-order batsmen - Joe Root (46), Jonny Bairstow (43) and Eoin Morgan (33) - but they kept losing wicket at regular intervals due to sustained pressure created by Pakistan bowlers.

Imad Wasim and Fahim Ashraf also got out cheaply for four and 15 runs respectively and it looked unlikely for Pakistan to cross the line after being reduced to 162-7.
