Cosby jury still deadlocked, to continue deliberating into weekend

Bill Cosby faces retrial on sexual assault charges

"We've been at this now for 10 days (including testimony). Everyone is assuming one way or another", said O'Neill.

"Go through your routines, which have probably become very habitualized at this point".

They will return Saturday morning for the sixth day of deliberations.

For this final question, the tired-faced jury asked again to hear the testimony of Stewart Parsons, Constand's brother-in-law and a Toronto police officer.

The jury is deliberating for a fifth day on Friday.

The jury resumed deliberations after having the evidence read back to them and listening again to the definition of reasonable doubt, the threshold that prosecutions must cross to win a conviction.

One of the questions from Friday was: "What is reasonable doubt?" Cosby pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Among the factors that contributed to Fisher's death was buildup of fatty tissue in the walls of her arteries, the Los Angeles County coroner's office said in a news release late Friday, US time. "I thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything that you've done".

Jurors got the case on Monday. Cosby is accused of drugging and sexually assaulting Constand at his home outside Philadelphia in 2004.

Her manner of death would be listed as undetermined, the agency said.

Jurors have started testing the patience of the judge in Bill Cosby's sexual assault trial. Todd Fisher said. "Without her drugs, maybe she would have left long ago".

Cosby said in a 2006 deposition that he got seven prescriptions for the powerful sedative in the 1970s. Prosecutors have suggested he might have given her quaaludes.

"If you have evidence that says they're not deliberating, they're not working back there, please give it to me", O'Neill said.

"Put them down, they're your friends".

"I would tell you, from my perspective that there's certainly no news that Carrie did drugs, " Fisher said.

Kohli impressed by Pakistan 'turnaround'
Men in blue emerged victorious to defend team India in the finals of ICC World Champions Trophy , against Pakistan , this Sunday. Speaking after the game, Shakib said: "The way we performed was very disappointing".

She began slurring her words and felt dizzy, and told Cosby so, she said.

She woke up on the couch early in the morning with her clothes disheveled, she said.

"I am not shocked that part of her health was affected by drugs", Todd Fisher said. "I'm not going to be shy about saying it".

Cosby lowered and shook his head in the courtroom as she spoke. Their questions have ranged from seeking phone records and testimony of Constand and her mother, CBS Philadelphia reports.

"They're exhausted, they're weary", McMonagle said, adding he feels it is getting to the point where some jurors may feel compelled to issue a verdict they don't necessarily agree with.

Citing the length of the talks, lead defense attorney Brian McMonagle over the course of the deliberations made seven unsuccessful motions for a mistrial declaration. They cast Cosby as an unfaithful husband - but not a criminal.

"They're conflicted about the inconsistencies in Ms Constand's testimony", he told reporters. However, she testified that she had been alone in a hotel room with Cosby beforehand, and that there were 72 calls between the two afterward.

But he says he no longer had them when he met accuser Andrea Constand in 2002 at Temple University. "If I see something that should be taking place and something that's not taking place I will say those things", said Wyatt.

Jurors did hear Cosby's side of the story - but not in his voice.

The 79-year-old Cosby is charged with three felony counts of aggravated indecent assault.

Cosby has said he gave Constand the cold and allergy medicine Benadryl before their sexual encounter at his home in 2004.

Cosby, who gave the deposition as part of Constand's lawsuit against him, said he got seven prescriptions for the powerful sedative in the 1970s for the goal of giving them to women with whom he wanted to have sex. Prosecutors have suggested he gave her something stronger, possibly quaaludes.

The charges stem from Andrea Constand's allegations that he drugged and violated her at his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004. She sued Cosby in a civil suit and settled for an undisclosed amount in 2006. The investigation was moved to Montgomery County, but did not result in charges at the time.

While jurors deliberated, Cosby was active on Twitter.

CNN's Lawrence Crook III reported from Norristown, Pennsylvania, and Eric Levenson reported and wrote from NY.
