Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain wanted by Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City

Premier League heavyweights Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City are all rumoured to be interested in snapping up the England worldwide. Both are in the final year of their contracts and there is intense speculation over their future.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who signed Oxlade-Chamberlain from Southampton for £15million in 2011, has previously stated he wants him to put pen to paper on a new deal.

City have prised away Samir Nasri, Emmanuel Adebayor, Gael Clichy, Kolo Toure and Bacary Sagna from the Gunners in recent years and are confident of pulling off another coup despite protestations from Arsenal.

The England global is eager to resolve his future and was expecting Arsenal to begin talks quickly - however the Gunners are yet to formally offer him a new deal.

Oxlade-Chamberlain made 45 appearances for the Gunners this season, but the majority of those came from the substitutes bench.

However, almost a month after the end of the season, formal talks are yet to commence.

James was knocked flat in the first quarter, when he accidentally got blasted in the chin by teammate Tristan Thompson's shoulder. We managed our minutes throughout the year a lot better, and I've been smarter about just taking care of my body.

Now the player feels he must get game time elsewhere, especially since this is a World Cup year.

Tuesday's transfer stories claim Oxlade-Chamberlain is the centre of interest.

If this is the case, selling him would make sense as Wenger has enough options to play in central midfield.

Manchester City want to buy Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and have a spare £60m to spend on him, according to the Metro, as Pep Guardiola attempts "to add more firepower" to a squad already including Sergio Agüero and Juan Jesus.

His contract situation will ensure that he does not command a high price in what is an inflated market for English players.
