Camille Cosby Criticizes Judge, District Attorney

Outside, civil lawyer Gloria Allred, who represents numerous other Cosby accusers, said the case was not over, citing the retrial possibility. They told Judge Steven O'Neill on the fourth day that they could not reach a unanimous verdict.

Cosby's wife of 53 years, Camille, slammed prosecutors for bringing the case to court, calling District Attorney Kevin Steele "heinously and exploitively ambitious" in a statement released after court adjourned.

Bill Cosby's legal team likely has an edge in a retrial.

The entertainer had no visible reaction in court.

"For Cosby, mistrial. For his 60 accusers, no justice", tweeted lawyer Lisa Bloom, who is representing Janice Dickinson's separate case against the comedian. McMonagle has said Wyatt was not speaking at his direction.

Social media erupted Saturday morning when news broke that Bill Cosby's sexual assault trial had ended in a hung jury.

Given that he has been married to Camille Cosby for 53 years, he seemed to be admitting an terrible truth to defend himself against even worse accusations. How do I describe the counsels for the accusers? Overtly and arrogantly collaborating with the district attorney.

He later said that "for Mr. Cosby's sake, I just hope that they let him get back to work and be who he has always been: America's favorite dad". Cosby has denied all of the accusations.

"I see people using family as shields, he refused to do that, he refused to expose his family to circus-type atmosphere - he was not going to use his family as a shield and I respect him for that". He became an in-demand product endorser, appearing in commercials for Jell-O, Coca-Cola and Ford.

When asked if Cosby had a message to share with his accusers, Wyatt bristled: "This is not about all the women, this was about Ms. Constand".

British media name suspect in mosque attack
Neighbours in the Cardiff suburb where he had lived for several years described him as "aggressive" and "strange". He never caused us any real problems, but we could often hear him shouting from the other side of the street.

Constand testified that the assault had occurred as she visited the home of Bill Cosby, who was a Temple trustee, when she was 30 and he was 66.

Cosby's lawyers countered by pointing out inconsistencies in Constand's story, and noted she had taken the pills willingly.

The dozen jurors in the Bill Cosby sexual assault trial spanned a diverse demographic range: white men in their 20s and 30s, middle-aged blacks, elderly white women.

The mistrial leaves in limbo a large slice of American popular culture from Cosby's six-decade career as a comedian and actor.

By Thursday morning, after almost 30 hours of discussions spanning three days, the jurors told O'Neill they were at a stalemate. The judge has refused, saying jurors are permitted under the law to deliberate as long as they want.

"There was no pause or hesitation about that, and we're moving forward", he told reporters. Over two visits, she said, he touched her "without warning" and tried to unbutton her trousers before she stopped him.

Cosby's civil lawyers still are fighting lawsuits against him by 10 women around the country.

In civil lawsuits in the United States, plaintiffs need only show that the weight of evidence is on their side, meaning they have information to tip the scales above 50 per cent in their favour, as opposed to criminal cases in which prosecutors must prove claims beyond a reasonable doubt.

Prosecutors reopened a criminal investigation and filed charges in 2015 after Cosby's deposition in the woman's 2005 lawsuit was unsealed, and they realized the 12-year statute of limitations for felony sexual assault had not yet expired.
