Conor McGregor V Floyd Mayweather Super-Fight: 5 Positives & 5 Negatives

The unorthodox nature of Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor's super-fight will make it the richest boxing match in history, according to industry insiders. He said that even if that happens, it wouldn't damage the UFC or McGregor's credibility.

Rumors and reports of a fight have been floating for nearly a year, with both fighters openly acknowledging a potential bout. While Mayweather wrote, "It's official" on his Twitter account.

"It's two different sports trying to be one sport", said boxing great Leonard.

The American will also be aware that a win would take him ahead of the legendary Rocky Marciano, who also retired with a 49-0 record. Mayweather is arguably the greatest boxer of all time going against McGregor, who has such a strong belief in himself that it seems he manifests his victories as if he has some sort of magical power.

Tech CEOs Meet With Trump On Government Overhaul
The council also seeks to boost the security of U.S. government IT systems and wants to learn from private-sector practices. In remarks to kick off the event, Kushner said he hopes the technology council will work to update American systems.

Back in the summer of 2016, McGregor brought in former IBO welterweight champion Chris van Heerden to help him prepare for his rematch with Nate Diaz. The 12-round fight will be fought at 154 pounds and will mark a return to the ring for Mayweather after an nearly two-year layoff.

The Irishman became the first UFC fighter to hold two belts simultaneously when he knocked out Eddie Alvarez in NY last November for the lightweight championship.

Undefeated Mayweather, 40, is coming out of retirement for the clash after being constantly challenged and goaded by the brash 28-year-old from Ireland. "However, it's a boxing match and as fantastic as Conor has been, I'm taking Mayweather". What would happen if McGregor gets lucky and lands one of his left hands? It became this thing were it was so impossible to get tickets, that after you already paid for them, that people started canceling their rooms and all kind of things. It is set to be U.K.'s biggest screening of the fight. The world will be watching when these two step into the boxing ring in Las Vegas in a fight that could change combat sports forever, for better or worse. Who do you think will come out victorious on August 26th?
