Ex-Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon tips Cristiano Ronaldo to stay put

Paris Saint-Germain are among the reported possible destinations for the five-time Ballon d'Or victor, while Alvaro Morata and James Rodriguez are two others rumoured to leave the Bernabeu this summer.

Ronaldo reportedly wants to leave Spain because he believes he has been targeted by the authorities. On paper this move looks good, but it just doesn't seem to add up for PSG.

However, with Mourinho looking to build a solid unit to take on the Premier League and Europe, there is scepticism as to whether or not Ronaldo would fit in.

If Ronaldo leaves Spain, it is vital Real hold on to the talents of Asensio as they attempt to maintain their goal count without their greatest player.

The Portuguese international's future has been a topic for serious debate over the past week, as it was widely speculated that he wants out of Madrid after being accused of tax fraud and not receiving enough support from the club.

Asked about potential clubs Ronaldo could join, Perez said: "I'm not contemplating Ronaldo leaving".

"I will speak to him after the Confederations Cup". Real Madrid is one, and United, then Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern [Munich] and Juventus, but those teams would probably have to sell players.

Real Madrid issued a statement fully supporting the player, claiming they were "absolutely convinced of his innocence", but Ronaldo is unsatisfied with the club over their attempts to defend him on the matter.

Madrid's long-time president said the club had not received any transfer offers for Ronaldo.

When speaking publicly on Monday, having run unopposed to return as president for the next four years, Perez did not reference Ronaldo when discussing the current state of Los Blancos.

Ronaldo's accomplishments have hardly come as a shock - his 2009 transfer fee was a whopping £80m, or $102 million, demonstrating high expectations.

Even so it is thought Real will fight to keep Ronaldo and could even pay the outstanding tax bill of £13million in an attempt to convince him to stay.
