KD's clutch heroics push Warriors closer to National Basketball Association title

You're up 2-0. It doesn't mean that much.

And with a victory in Game 4 on Friday night, Golden State can exorcise those haunting demons from last June when the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead in the Finals to the Cavaliers.

For the second straight year, the Cavaliers returned to Quicken Loans Arena in an 0-2 hole against the Warriors in the NBA Finals.

But Cleveland's LeBron James admitted his side would have to play a flawless game on Friday to avoid being on the wrong side of a new landmark.

Still, Lue, the Cavs' cool-under-pressure coach, believes his team can equal the Warriors' frenetic pace and flip the script as it did in 2016. No team has ever come back from 0-3 deficit in the National Basketball Association playoffs or Finals.

Golden State, who also had 30 points from Klay Thompson and 26 from Stephen Curry, would become the first team in National Basketball Association history to make an unbeaten play-off run to the crown by winning game four on Friday in Cleveland.

It wasn't enough. Durant, Klay Thompson, and Stephen Curry combined for 87 points, including 15 threes, and the Warriors got the 118-113 Game 3 win on the road.

The Cavaliers are no match for these Warriors, not even with arguably the best player on the planet in LeBron James. That's what Golden State does. These aptly named Warriors spent the last two months building big leads, then Wednesday wiped out a late deficit.

Apple, Microsoft, Google, others, meet Trump on government overhaul
Facebook (FB.O) CEO Mark Zuckerberg was invited but could not attend because of a conflict, the company said. Mastercard Inc (MA.N) CEO Ajay Banga said his company wanted to assist with cyber security issues.

"So you get down in the fourth quarter, it's a five-point game with six minutes left, you don't say, oh, man, we're down five, you just say there's a ton of time left and let's execute". "And they made the plays down the stretch, so you got to give credit to those guys". The Cleveland Cavaliers are averaging 114.7 points on 48.8 percent shooting and allowing 106.5 points on 45.4 percent shooting.

"They ditched Harrison Barnes, Andrew Bogut, Festus Ezeli and several bench players in a blink when they could get Durant, and they've been ready to do similar things at various times for other players".

"I've never been in this position before", Durant said. "It wasn't our smartest game that we have played all year, but it was maybe our toughest in terms of our ability to just hang in there". "But now that we're in this situation, why not take care of business and finish the job?"

First Steph Curry hit a step-back three over Kevin Love to tie the game at 32.

Clearly emotional after trying to process the immensity of his shot in crunch time, Durant refused to smell the roses just yet.

"For example, the Warriors know Iguodala is incredibly important to this mix, but any calculation that has them paying him $18M+ per is way, way too high, IMO".

"They're definitely a different team than they were past year that's definitely in full effect that we're all fully aware of", the Cavs' Kyrie Irving said.

Kevin Durant saw the space and stepped back. After the teams won a finals apiece over the last two years, the Warriors are primed to win the trilogy.
