Officer in shooting: 'I don't have a taser'

"When we explained to her family the behavior and statements Lyles made to us, they were surprised and informed us she has not had any behavior similar to this in the past".

The video that's been released on social media, seemingly taken by a neighbor, shows the responding officers promising, while standing outside of Lyles's closed door, that they wouldn't shoot her.

The Seattle Police Department has released audio of the fatal shooting of an expectant 30-year-old African-American mother.

Seattle police have said officers.

Lyles was dealing with mental health issues, according to family.

The audio is linked to the dash-cam of the patrol cars of both responding officers, police said.

Typically, that would be a one-officer call, but there was some information in the system, officers had dealt with this particular unit, this particular caller just recently. While the officers maintain that they feared for their safety, Lyles' sister Monika Williams wonders why they couldn't have used an alternative approach. They could have taken her down. Roughly 15 seconds later, officers can be heard saying, "Get back!" Get back!" before a woman responds "Do it!

Seattle Police Detective Mark Jameison says officers administered first aid, but Lyles was declared dead at the scene. They taped photos of her and her children to the back of plastic chairs and spelled her name in candles on the sidewalk.

Ronaldo set for July court date in tax case
Perez's opponents have criticised reforms in the club statutes which have toughened criteria for aspiring candidates. Manchester United chiefs have no concerns over Cristiano Ronaldo 's age should they move for the Real Madrid star.

KOMO, a local news station, notes that it's not clear exactly why the police shot Lyles. She called the police on him. "She called for help and she was shot". "I don't know anything about a man shooting his wife", Jamieson said. They were not hurt and are staying with family members.

Lyles' family says the shooting was unnecessary and that Lyles suffered from mental health issues. The children were not injured, police said.

Officer: So you said an Xbox was taken??

Lyles' cousin, Wanda Cockerhern, said: "Each time she called [the police], it cost her something". All Seattle officers receive training on how to better handle those with mental illness or abusing drugs.

Family members expressed surprise at her behavior while talking with cops and "has not had any behavior similar to this in the past", police wrote. "This will be fully investigated", Murray said. "It is imperative that our police officers are ready and trained to serve and protect all members of our community and not endanger our most vulnerable populations-people with disabilities". The department's Force Investigative Team is investigating their use of deadly force.

However, social justice advocates claim that Lyles's death symbolizes a failure of those reforms.

On Sunday morning in a Sand Point, Seattle apartment complex, #charleena #Lyles phoned the police to respond to a suspected break-in.

"There's no reason for her to be shot in front of her babies", Williams told reporters, according to the Seattle Times. Both officers, who have not been identified, fired their weapons.
