Iran misses targets in missile attack on Syria

There is a constant watch, I should say, for Iran testing missiles that could be capable of carrying a nuclear warhead.

Iran is supporting the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad with ground forces and advisors in coordination with Russian Federation.

The U.S. said it had downed the Syrian jet a day earlier after it dropped bombs near the U.S. -backed Syrian Democratic Forces conducting operations against the Islamic State group, adding that was something it would not tolerate.

But he warned that Iraq "should not trust" the United States, which is leading a coalition fighting IS in Iraq and neighbouring Syria.

The incident closely followed Sunday's United States downing of a piloted Syrian army jet in the southern Raqqa countryside after it dropped bombs near US-backed forces. He said government forces began attacking the SDF on Saturday, using warplanes, artillery and tanks in areas that SDF had liberated from IS.

The latest blatant attack by the USA confirms what many already know, the Pentagon is risking a major war to defend ISIS, the brainchild of the Central Intelligence Agency. The U.S. and the coalition have a base in At Tanf, Syria, close to where the Iraqi, Jordanian and Syrian borders intersect, 80 miles south of Palmyra. He spoke on condition of anonymity in line with regulations.

A Syrian military official in Damascus said the truce was not extended. Yesterday, the USA coalition announced that it had shot down a Syrian regime plane which was bombing predominantly Kurdish SDF positions.

The Russian defense ministry says in a statement that, starting Monday, it will track all jets and drones of the us -led coalition west of the Euphrates and treat them as targets.

That number is expected to triple to 14 million by 2050. "This is an exciting finding for us", Praticò said. It usually begins after age 60 and is the sixth leading cause of death among U.S. adults.

Iran's Revolutionary Guard said it fired as many as seven missiles at an ISIS compound in Deir Ezzor while Iranian media cited sources who said that the strikes killed 360 militants on Sunday.

On June 7, terrorists launched simultaneous attacks on Iran's parliament building in downtown Tehran and on the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini, south of the city.

While the Revolutionary Guard in Tehran boasted that the seven missiles overflew Iraq on their way to hitting an Islamic State command center and suicide auto bomb operation in Deir el-Zour, Israeli observers called the launchings a "flop".

Ehud Ya'ari of Israel's Channel 2 said that only one of the Iranian missiles actually managed to reach its intended target in Syria. A projectile can be seen hitting a building followed by thick black smoke billowing out.

General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, who heads the Revolutionary Guards' aerospace wing, told state television: "The missiles were fired from Iran and they passed over Iraq and landed in Syria".

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif defended the attack in a Twitter post on Monday. It is still unclear what the missiles struck, and Iran has provided few details.

Other Iranian officials were more blunt in their assessment of the attack.

"The (Syrian) regime is always testing and pushing the boundaries", said Yezid Sayigh, a senior fellow at the Carnegie Middle East Center in Beirut.
