Businessman-in-chief owes lenders $436m: Disclosure

White House Spokesman Sean Spicer earlier in the week dismissed those concerns as partisan bickering, and in a brief statement late Friday, he did not address them anew.

The information was in a new disclosure made voluntarily by the president to the Office of Government Ethics.

Meanwhile, Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, where he has played host to several foreign dignitaries since becoming president, saw a major boost in revenue, taking in about $37 million, around $7 million more it had reportedly taken in the year prior. They're affiliated with Trump-branded developments in Canada and India.

Trump has refused to release his tax returns, which would give a much clearer indication of his wealth and business interests.

Trump's net worth was estimated at $1.4 billion, and his income for a year ago and first quarter of 2017 was approximately $594 million, the report stated.

However, he did sell dozens of stocks he held in brokerage accounts, including shares in Amazon, Exxon Mobil, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Toyota and other companies. He's earned between $1,00,000-$1 million in the latest filing.

The release comes as Trump is under investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller, a probe that's tied to larger federal investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 election and whether Trump campaign advisers colluded in any interference.

76ers take Fultz, Lakers nab Ball in NBA draft's first round
The Philadelphia 76ers have selected guard Markelle Fultz with the No. 1 pick in the National Basketball Association draft. Fultz is only 19 years old and averaged 23 points and almost 6 rebounds and assists in his lone season at Washington.

The president has stepped back from the Trump Organization, turning over control to his adult sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, in addition to a top Trump Organization executive. The document, an imperfect window into Trump's assets, debt and income, is the third of its kind that he's released since announcing his candidacy for the presidency in 2015.

Because the new disclosure includes a four-and-a-half-month period covered by his last report, it is hard to precisely gauge whether revenue at Trump's businesses has gone up or down.

According to this disclosure, Trump resigned from his managing posts in nearly all of his enterprises on January 19, 2017, one day before being sworn into office at the White House.

The report reveals that Trump had posts on the boards of 565 companies. He said he received more than $100,001 from the deal.

He had roughly US$20 million in income from his Washington hotel, which opened just down the street from the White House a year ago. Revenue from Trump Corporation, his real-estate management company, almost tripled to $18 million, and revenue from Mar-a-Lago grew by 25 percent, to $37.25 million. His tenure in most of those posts ended on January 19, 24 hours before his inauguration, and in others in 2015 and 2016.

Five liabilities valued above $50 million each, including at least $130 million to Deutsche Bank, were disclosed.

Ethics lawyers involved in suing Trump, based on allegations that he is violating the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution because his businesses are accepting payments from foreign governments, said that the financial disclosure, while helpful, left many of their questions unresolved.
