Trump admits he has no Comey tapes

In a tweet that I highly doubt he personally constructed or wrote, Donald Trump refuted the claim that he possesses secret recordings of his meetings with former FBI Director James Comey, whom he unceremoniously fired over the "Russia thing" last month.

The California congressman said president's tweets "stop short of denying WH has any tapes in possession".

Legal experts say Donald Trump added to his legal jeopardy and the potential obstruction of justice case against him during an interview on Fox News.

Comey testified that he had told the president in multiple conversations he was not personally under federal investigation and said the president implored him to make that public.

Comey was heading the investigation into allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and possible collusion between Moscow and Trump's campaign before.

Several outside advisers who speak to Trump regularly have said the president has not mentioned the existence of tapes during their conversations.

But the president had steadfastly refused to clarify whether any tapes existed. She interviewed Trump and his wife, Melania, at the White House during Thursday night's congressional picnic. "[But] I can say that the people that have been hired were all Hillary Clinton supporters".

Two weeks ago, he teased reporters in the White House Rose Garden by saying that he'd explain "maybe sometime in the very near future".

Head Coach Luke Walton Wants LaVar Ball to Slow Down
Ever since the Lakers got the No. 2 choice in the lottery last month, most draft observers have believed Ball will wear a gold jersey in the fall, completing a serendipitous match of player and team.

The president in speaking with Fox reiterated that he did not actually tape Comey.

Facing a slew of criticism for sacking the man investigating the Russian Federation scandal, Mr Trump warned Mr Comey there could be retribution if he revealed anything of their private conversations.

"Well, he is very, very good friends with Comey, which is very bothersome", Trump said.

In his interview with Fox, Trump expressed concern about what he described as the close relationship between Comey and Mueller, who was appointed to take over the investigation after Comey was sacked.

Warner is the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Trump has shown an uncanny ability to redirect media attention away from unflattering subjects onto other matters, even if they are hardly favorable to him.

The commander in chief boasted that it made Comey confirm that he told Trump several times he wasn't personally under investigation.
