Glo greets Muslims on Eid-el-Fitri

Eid-ul-Fitr, the festival marking the culmination of fasting and holy month of Ramzan, is being celebrated across the country today.

For the first time in almost two decades, the White House has chose to skip hosting the annual Eid al-Fitr dinner celebrating the end of Ramadan.

Hillary Clinton resurrected the event when she was First Lady in February 1996, hosting about 150 people for a reception for Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month.

Breaking with tradition, the White House under President Donald Trump did not host an iftar dinner, the meal Muslims eat to break their daily fast during Ramadan.
