Scalise shooter had a list of 6 Congressmen's names in his pocket

Scalise, the Republican House Majority Whip, was critically injured during a shooting by a lone gunman at the GOP baseball team's practice for a charity game June 14.

Slater said it did not appear that Hodgkinson had a target in mind when he opened fire at the Eugene Simpson Stadium Park in Alexandria last week.

Shooter Moved to Va.in March, FBI Says In March 2017, Hodgkinson told his family that he was leaving Belleville, Illinois, for Washington, D.C. But he didn't tell them what he would be doing in the city.

Tim Slater, the special agent in charge of the Washington FBI office, also said during a news conference that James T. Hodgkinson did not have any ties to terrorism.

Hodgkinson carried a list with the names of six Congress members.

Still, Slater said that there is no evidence that the gunman had advance knowledge that the lawmakers would be practicing there or that he was specifically targeting any of those involved in the practice. For months before the shooting, he had been living out of his van in the Washington area, with more than 200 rounds of ammunition among the belongings he kept in a storage unit, Slater said.

"He was known to have an anger management problem", Slater said at a news conference, adding later that Hodgkinson was on medication and "struggling" with a number of issues including a hard personal life.

Yet Slater acknowledged that there was much more they didn't know about the former owner of a home inspection business.

Germany and Chile Advance to Confederations Cup Semifinals
A point proved enough for Chile to reach the last four, where they will meet Portugal at the Kazan Arena on Wednesday (June 28). But Fifa's Video Assistant Referee was again thrust into the limelight after a farcical sending off in the 3-1 Germany win.

The gunman visited the storage locker 43 times between April and June During that time period, he sometimes visited the unit daily, or even multiple times a day, Slater said.

In addition to his social media accounts, he wrote letters to his local newspaper that blamed Republicans for what he considered an agenda that helped the wealthy.

It is a dramatic turnaround for the 51-year-old representative from Louisiana, who was in critical condition and at "imminent risk of death" when first admitted to the hospital, according to Dr. Jack Sava, MedStar's director of trauma.

Scalise was the most seriously injured in the attack. The bullet pierced his pelvis, fracturing bones and injuring internal organs.

Zach Barth, a legislative correspondent for Rep. Roger Williams, R-Texas, was shot in the leg and released from the hospital the same day of the shooting.

Four others were also wounded, and the attacker was killed. "When the witness responded that it was a Republican event, Hodgkinson reportedly remained at the baseball field".
