Trump 'predicted' travel ban setback in court

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against the Trump administration's second attempted travel ban just 17 weeks after it struck down the first. The timetable would allow the administration to make its challenge to the new ruling issued on Monday in a case from Hawaii.

Earlier this month, the government asked the high court to review a ruling from the federal appeals court in Richmond, Virginia, which said the 90-day ban unconstitutionally discriminated against Muslims.

On Monday, a three-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against a revised version of the executive order, using the president's tweets against him in making their decision.

The court also ruled that the administration failed to "reveal any threat or harm to warrant suspension of [Notes:refugee admissions] for 120 days and does not support the conclusion that the entry of refugees in the interim time period would be harmful". The court also found that the president's order ran afoul of an immigration law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of nationality.

The White House said Monday that it was reviewing the court's decision.

Sanches becomes leading scorer as Chile draw 1-1 with Germany
Chile had chances to score early on, but were held back by wasteful finishing and Ryan's solid performance in the Australian goal. The Confederations Cup is taking place on June 17 to July 2 on four Russian stadiums - the Spartak Stadium in Moscow , the St.

Late Tuesday afternoon, the Supreme Court resolved to let the two sides file an additional set of written arguments for why the justices should or shouldn't hear the Hawaii case. He argued that the second travel ban would continue to keep from her out of the US, and away from relatives. "Here, the President has not done so".

The Trump administration argues the measures are needed to ward off potential terror attacks.

Critics, though, have said the effort is merely an attempt to follow through on a campaign promise for a "Muslim ban".

The 4th U.S. Circuit also has called Trump's national security concerns an after-the-fact justification for a policy that was "rooted in religious animus". The majority noted Trump's campaign pledge to bar Muslims from entering the country. "On March 8, 2017, this court granted that motion, which substantially ended the story of EO1 [the first Executive Order]", the order acknowledged. "(I) immigration, even for the President, is not a one-person show".

President Donald Trump took to Twitter early Tuesday to berate the 9th United States Circuit Court and accuse the mass media of having an "agenda of hate".
