Woman Falls From Amusement Park Ride

A teenage girl fell from a gondola at an upstate NY amusement park on Saturday, plunging 25 feet into a crowd of park-goers and employees who'd gathered to catch her.

Onlookers, many of them recording the incident with their cellphones, broke into cheers and applause when the girl landed safely in the arms of several people.

She was rushed to hospital after falling from the gondola ride but has not sustained any serious injuries.

Instead, he filmed a tense, life-threatening situation.

"Because if she was going to fall you know I wanted to be there to at least do whatever I could to try to save this girl", Winchell said.

They are just glad the girl is ok.

"They'll catch you, honey!"

Lent can be heard on the video yelling to the girl, trying to reassure her it was okay to let go because the crowd below would catch her. Seconds later, she let go and hit a tree branch before the crowd below caught her. The two and some other good Samaritans carried the girl to where emergency workers later arrived to help her.

A teenage girl has plunged eight metres (25ft) from a halted theme park ride into a crowd of people trying to catch her.

The 14-year-old girl from Greenwood, Delaware, was taken to Albany Medical Center in stable condition with no serious injuries, the Warren County Sheriff's Office said.

Thousands cheer as Corbyn fever hits Glastonbury
An Irish volunteer was who was served a beer by Mr Corbyn at Glastonbury said it is the "best pint she's ever had". Glastonbury Festival has always been associated with leftwing politics.

"Along the ride they should have something stationed whether its ladders or some means to perform a rescue", Lent said. He estimated the girl had been dangling for at least 90 seconds and possibly even a few minutes.

The girl lets go and is caught by the pair to cheers and applause.

"If there's possibly neck or back trauma, you want to immobilize (the person)", he said.

No word on how it happened yet, but a DE teenager is lucky to be alright after falling 25 feet from a gondola ride at an upstate New York Six Flags.

He claimed park employees took too long to stop the ride and said the ride lacked a seatbelt. It is unclear why the girl was hanging.

Howard and his daughter, Leeann Winchell, made their way underneath the gondola vehicle and called out to the girl, trying to calm her down and reassure her they'd catch her. Moments later, the girl dropped 25 feet, into their arms.

On their way toward the exits, his daughter Hayzel, 4, stopped to dance with Six Flags staff.

State inspectors cleared the ride for resuming operation, but park officials said the gondolas would remain idle for at least a second day Monday, pending an internal review.

He said the ride has no seatbelt, and just a bar across to hold patrons inside. High-speed twists and turns aren't a part of this ride's attraction. "Every situation is unique and requires the appropriate time and tools for the evacuation".

The Sky Ride was described by police as a "very slow moving, gondola" which spans the entire length of the park.
